The second part of my comment is that they do not have the right to enforce justice against those who did nothing to them.
Sexual abuse is an individual offense. The individual abuser chooses to engage in it. The victim does not have the right to punish the innocent, no matter that they are a victim.
Studies have indicated that childhood sexual abuse appears to be correlated with LGBT self-identification. However, that does not give LGBT activists the right to take away others’ “unalienable rights”.
By choosing to try and steal those rights, the LGBT activist does indeed warrant anger and derision. It is not because they were harmed by abuse, but because they have selected a course of action that requires that natural rights be denied to others in order to support their sexual proclivity.
If you honestly believe that historical abuse excuses the current actions of these people, I think you may wish to revisit the biblical teachings on loving the sinner but hating the sin. In this case - the sin is even more egregious because it causes others to sin in complying with the demands.
Thank you for engaging in this debate without making it rancorous. I hope I have achieved the same goal in my own words.
People are, or should be, free to associate and deal with whomever they want. And not deal with whom they chose not. We’d all get along a lot better if the government would keep out of it and let folks sort it out themselves.

1. The people largely aligned with the reformation. Wycliffe and Lollardy were over a hundred years old. Wycliffe inspired John Huss, who inspired Luther. Luther’s books were studied in England at least by 1521.William Tyndale’s English New Testament was in England by April of 1526.
2. The monasteries and the church in England were quite corrupt and consuming the wealth of the nation. In 1525 Cromwell helped suppress 29 monasteries, two years before Henry is sure he want to divorce Catherine.

I think its important for people of all faiths to understand professing religious people of all faiths including clergy and even lay people have inflicted damage on LGBT people and others because they have been involved in acts of sexual abuse, not to mention anger and rage towards family members and others in general, some of whom end up coming out at LGBT or are currently LGBT.
I am responsible for my wrongdoing to others and I must face the ‘truth about myself’.
If I can do something to make amends or do acts of kindness I should, even if it results in a slap in the face from the other side.

H 8 went after Thomas More in the early 1530’s, who did not recognize his marriage to Anne Boelyn. More did not support the request to the Pope for the annulment of the marriage to Catherine.
This is the time period when the C of E was formed...Its also important to note the King was taking over the church to remove the Pope from being the authority and the teachings of the Pope about marriage which allowed annullment but not at will.....

Fanatics will probably not be receptive to kindness, I admit. But I must do good in my dealings with people.
Even when I was a drunken religious activist I still remember shaking hands at least with a local gay leader who later died too young.....
But I must have a right attitude in my dealings with other people and I also must not endorse the prosecution and persecution of religious people that the LGBT fanatics intend to implement and have begun to implement using governmental power and media driven intimidation.
I also have to deal with LGBT people on the basis of any harm I did to them in the past. If I was a religious hypocrite who sexually absued a child who grew up to be LGBT(that’s not my past but for others?) I would especially be concerned about admitting my wrong and trying to make amends in that area. Its not an easy thing since the criminal justice is very geared up to deal out punishment, so I apologize for sounding too preachy and or self-righteous myself.
Being drunk as I grew up disconnected me from men and women in my life including at least one who became gay. I at least have written down where I felt I was wrong in that relationship.
I find that kind of action appropriate.
