The Law of First Mention Is it all those called out by YHvH ? or What was the purpose of the Ekklesia ? Was it a temporal corporation to rule on earth ? No ! Was it to have a temporal head ? No ! It was a gathering of YHvH's chosen people to hear His Word ? and learn to Fear YHvH all their days ? And to teach their children the same ? Yes. ------------- Ekklesia is from the Hebrew Qahal (kof, hey, lamed) How does YHvH define "church" i.e.Ekklesia ?
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
A study of the word "church", in the Koine Greek : Ekklesia.
Was the "church" started at the YHvH commanded
Feast day of Shavuot (pentecost) as some say ?
Did the "church" exist earlier ?
Using the LXX as a guide we see that the Ekklesia
is first used in Deuteronomy 4:10 NAsbU Deuteronomy 4:10 "Remember the day you stood before YHvH, your God

which is haQahal The assembly (hey, kop, hey, lamed)
hey => grace, breath of G-d
lamed => teaching and learning)
In scripture it is always used to describe
those who have been assembled by YHvH.
It begins in Exodus 16:3 ( the bread from heaven )
and continues to Nehemiah 8:17 (living in Booths) NAsbU Nehemiah 8:17
The entire assembly of those who had returned from
the captivity made booths and lived in them.
The sons of Israel had indeed not done so
from the days of Joshua(Yehoshua)
the son of Nun to that day.
And there was great rejoicing.
Thank you for that. The word “church” is a Satanic corruption of scripture for sure. I have been “preaching” that for years. Unfortunately it has become nearly impossible to relate in today’s understanding without using the word. So when I would rather not be sidetracked from the discussion at hand I also use it but typically put it in quotes. I truly wish people understood the difference in their understanding of the word “church” and the word assembly correctly used in scripture.
“The Answer should Shock You”
The “answer” is only shocking as to how far it goes with mis-handling scriptures and using them to promote ideologies that are so far from scripture as to be abominable to God according to His own words.
Even if the passage being used does give special preeminence to Egypt, does that really conclusively mean those who are saved in Egypt are specifically Copts?
God will also save Israel. Does that mean He approves of their abortion, their homosexual parades, their total abandonment of His laws in the land today?
Of course not. Israel will first be brought to repentance. Likewise, anyone saved from Egypt will have also been brought to repentance, whether they were born into Islam, or some form of Christian observance.
When Christ returns, He will gather His elect from the four winds of heaven (global), not just Egypt. Among them will be people from every nation and every language. There will be people who grew up in Coptic homes and people who grew up in Muslim homes, but turned to the true God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Old Testament prophecies about Egypt will be fulfilled in God’s time, but it is the height of foolishness to twist them to claim, “Thus saith the Lord”, when the Lord has not spoken thus.
This prophecy is no more of an endorsement of Coptic and Catholic heresies and unbiblical practices than it is of the Muslim religion.
While my heart go out to persecuted Copts, it is not good to try to force the latest news headlines into an interpretation of scripture.
The prudent will be forewarned and escape judgment.
I've read and studied many interpretations. One thing that stands out in this interpretation is the switch from literal to symbolic. Why interpret Israel literally but goats and sheep symbolically? Prophecy, and Revelation in particular, uses symbolism.
Romans 9:6-8 NIV
It is not as though Gods word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abrahams children. On the contrary, It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned. In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are Gods children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abrahams offspring.
Where does Revelation reference a rejection of Israel?
Jesus only recognizes one church - His!
here come da momma ship
Bump. I have wondered the same thing
That fallacious bare assertion flows from the manner of presumption that Roman Catholicism based upon, pronouncing Truth by decree. Rome, having presumed to infallibly declare she is and will be perpetually infallible whenever she speaks in accordance with her infallibly defined (scope and subject-based) formula, renders her declaration that she is infallible, to be infallible, as well as all else she accordingly declares. ,
The depends upon the Accent, Ambassador, though i am sure there will be a Challenger and a Defender before there is a Champion on this Century, but why Focus more on this Quest? http://www.allcarnames.com/list-of-car-names/
When that specific number is reached, when that last person is saved, then we are out of here, all gone home to be with our LORD. That is those that have accepted His free offer of Grace per Paul. That is a day I am waiting for. Our Blessed Hope. The appearance of our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Shoebat is not the only convert with dubious claims, while his theological deviation has more in common with Islam than NT Christianity.
It does not matter what “church” as long as the person accepts Jesus as their Savior. No where in the Bible does it say anyone has to be a catholic. No where. I do not understand this mentality of some. Read the Bible.
Look up ! Yah'shua is coming for his congregation. L'shana tovah ! This Feast of Trumpets or next.
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
I was changing channels the other day. Came across one where they were asking if a Catholic would baptize an ET. Did not listen but was an interesting question.
Those who believe in salvation through Jesus only and repents of their sins are HIS CHURCH... it does not matter what the name on the building says
Supersessionism is heresy.
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
That was my point. Many Christians don't support Israel thinking they are somehow substituted for God's original people. The Covenants were made with Israel from the beginning. God doesn't change and He doesn't take back what He has decreed. The general theme of the article wants to put some special dispensation on the Coptic's, but That is just selective reading. The same can be said for Jehovah Witnesses that think they are the 144,000, and many others out there finding reasons we are all wrong and they are right. Jesus gave a very simple test for His Salvation and the rest is just disputes in the Body. All nations and toungues will give the the final "Bride" taken by Christ.
Now, as far as Romans 9-6-8, I think we agree that the adopted people are not Jews, but the Gentiles. But what of the Jews in Israel,...move to Romans 11. The whole chapter explains, but verses 7-10 explains God's plan for Israel. The Jews were blinded b God so the Gentiles could be added. It is in God's complete control what will happen to the Jews. They will be left behind, they will evangelize in the Last Days as the 144,000 because they have seen the One their pierced and the NATION will repent.
As an individual, we all must repent and believe Jesus is who He says He is, and can do what He says He can do. That doesn't save or condemn your nation, however. There are Jews in Heaven as we saw in the Mount of Transfiguration. What kind of God do we serve if Moses, Abraham, Joesph, Elijah, and others never had a chance? They knew an Savior was to come, and today we have seen the Savior that was sent. The Jew looking for Abraham's Seed is saved just as we are saved. We are God's children and heirs to Abraham's inheritance because we were fortunate enough to be adopted. God blind's some and gives sight to others,....all for His glory. We were called to God by His Spirit and pulled from the muck and cleaned by His blood. It had NOTHING to to with any special insight we might think we had. There are many with closed eyes and ears and we cannot cure their sight and unplug their ears. You can see some here speaking of what car Jesus will return in. They may even go to church every Sunday, but don't hear a word said. They don't understand the humor they find in mocking God, He finds repulsive. The Jews have taken the Word of God very seriously for millennia. That doesn't open their eyes and ears however, until the Spirit calls them, just as He did us. I won't be the one questioning God's judgement when Israel is saved and I was saved decades ago.
God comes, in Revelation to save the NATION of Israel in WWIII when they cry out to Him for salvation, just as they have done from Genesis. The individual Jews will see the wounds on the one they pierced and repent, just as Zechariah says.
I think we agree with more than disagree. This is just my opinion, of course, but the Bride will rule and reign with Christ for the thousand years over nations that are NOT the Bride. If Jesus just ruled Israel, there isn't enough room for the 5 billion left after the 2.5 billion are killed. They must still be in their home nation. However, if Egypt is not a supporter of Israel, it may not rain to grow crops or plagues may run rampant through the land, while the lion and lamb lay down together elsewhere. Revelation speaks of us eating food we did not grow and living in houses we did not build. I'm not saying God will have slaves, but just sayin. These are thing very sparsely written about and I haven't studied in depth. My main concern is, and has been the Rapture. I'm teaching a home Bible study right now on the Feasts of Israel and I think God has made it fairly plain you can't understand prophesy without studying the OT and the practices Israel. In Leviticus 23:1, God made it plain that the Feast days are for HIM, not just the Jews. To call it "Jewish" Feast days is almost anti-Semitic. These "Holy Convocations" are actually dress rehearsals for what is to come. Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Pentecost have all been fulfilled in prophesy. Trumpets, Yom Kippur, and Tabernacles are all that is left and they will all be fulfilled just as the Spring Feasts were fulfilled on the exact day and hour they were supposed to be fulfilled.
For your last sentence....." Where does Revelation reference a rejection of Israel?"....I can't understand where you think I said Israel will be rejected. Maybe you have me mixed up with some other poster. I specifically cited the verses in Zechariah that says they will be saved. The Jews will not be Raptured, but will be saved. After the Rapture, those left will be subject to the Mark and execution, but you can receive Salvation, but it will most likely be through your death for Christ. The "church" age will be over and Salvation will be made with your mouth and the baptism will be literal death for Christ. You won't be able to take the mark to save your life without denouncing Christ. If you save your life you will lose it and if you lose your life you will save it.
Jesus will rule and reign from Israel and we are His people. The Temple mount land was bought by King David to build the Temple. It was a threshing floor for a farmer, which I always thought was neat. It is believed that the very land was where Abraham raised the knife over Issac and Solomon build His Temple. The word "Holy" doesn't mean good, or religious, or anything like what we use the word for. It means set aside, and in our case set aside for God. The Holy Land is God's land and is for his holy people.
The gentile bride and the Kinsman-redeemer. Perhaps I'm mistaken,
shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
tbut I thought it is the threshing floor
of Ruth and Boaz.
Did you get out your Bible and read 1st and 2nd Thessalonians? It doesn’t take long and if you slowly read chapter 2 of 2nd Thessalonians while listening to God’s voice without fear, Paul specifically states the Lord does not return until AFTER, after the “man of lawlessness is revealed.”
Man of Lawlessness
2 Thess 2
1 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. 8 Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; 9 that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 10 and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. 11 For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, 12 in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.
