I can't believe our military is as strong today as it was before the Clintoon took over the White House. However, I do believe we are still by far the strongest military in the world. We certainly do spend enough money on it.

How much manufacturing is left in America? I heard one "talking head" on the financial channels once comment in passing about "how nothing is manufactured in America anymore", as if it were a good thing. So this is pretty much true from what I can tell.

Not all states are California or New York. Some states allow smoking in restaurants. Still, a grain of truth here. I'm afraid that the part about the national I.D. is becoming true.

Wrongo on that one. The whole gun issue is about one whisker away from becoming the new "third rail" of American politics. The Democrats have realized that their image of being rampant gun grabbers has cost them dearly, and cost Gore the election by costing him his home state. When you're right you're right. Our borders are wide open to the world, big business wants it that way and so do the Democrats. Our borders have become a worldwide joke, since there is no real penalty for violating our immigration laws. In fact, we fall over ourselves giving free goodies to those who have broken our laws to be here. We have reliquinshed our right to exist as a nation. Would you have any respect for a guy who not only allowed people to break into his house and steal from him, but who actually gave them extra goodies as well? Again, too, too true. American men are one step away from being legally declared "livestock", with all of the associated rights and privileges therein. Spend one day in family court to see what I mean.

This moron needs to do his homework. Although a few people dispute their eligibility, the Petronas Towers have been the tallest buildings in the world since 1998. And even if the Petronas Towers weren't "eligible", the Sears Tower held the record since 1974, a few years after the WTC towers were finished.
These towers win on a technicality--their antennas. The Sears Towers still has the highest inhabitable floor.

I stopped watching television about 5 years ago. get all my news from the inetrnet. I don't miss it one bit.
I have reverted to reading a great deal more, both on the internet and in print.
I find that I am more aware of the "real" condiotions in this country because I pay attentiuon more to reality than on the images parlayed by television. You folks ought to get out of your houses more often and talk to your neighbors. You'd be surpirsed how many of them are registred as democraps yet are conservative in thought. Instead of wasting time watching televison utilise it converting those you meet.
Used to be a time in this country before television and mass entertainment people would go to their neighbors houses and have dinner etc.
Today most people hardly know their neighbors, at least here in NY anyway.
There is nothing on television that you can't get from the internet.
The possbile exception is science and history programs or FOX news channel of which I am aware because everyone here speaks about them. But getting cable would probably get me going on the worng road.
I know nothing about popular culture or who it's mainstay stars are. Guess what!! They are irrelevant. The guys that effect your lives live in caves or ride camels on some desert. The guys who have more of an impact on your lives are nameless bureaucrats and elected cpmmies disguised as democrats.
What's going in in Indonesia is more important to your welfare than what is going on in the fake lives of some character on a junk show on TV.
The brain dead idiot who wrote you that e-mail is anotehr loser without a life inacpable of thinking for himself like most Europeans and sadly to say in incraesing numbers like most Americans.
Pull away from your TV's and evangelise the constitution to you neighbors, teach them about the bill of rights. Interrupt their useless TV watching. They'll be grateful to you in the long run. Who knows, you might start a trend.
