Founder and CEO Mike Grondahl detailed a history of rampant abuse at the company and alleged it misrepresented its financials during a recent interview with controversial right-wing X user Libs of TikTok.
This comes after weeks of calls for boycotts of the brand after the company canceled the membership of a Planet Fitness gym goer after speaking out about a biological male in the women's locker room.
Planet Fitness's policy allows gym members to use the locker room associated with their gender identity. But this policy has led to a few high-profile cases of women feeling uncomfortable in Planet Fitness women’s locker rooms, and some women and children have reported abuse and sexual harassment at the facilities. Many of these incidents resulted in the women losing their membership, but an arrest was made in at least one instance, as previously reported by Benzinga.
In the 15-minute interview, Grondahl outlined the history of the company and the reason behind its founding. Grondahl started the gym, noting the Judgement Free Zone was meant to be a welcoming signal to novice gymgoers looking for a place to start. But when speaking about the company today, Grondahl says it's "devastating" what it's become.

"When we went public, the majority of the board knew that this lead attorney was a pedophile. It's in the culture." Grondahl said during the TikTok interview.
The Planet Fitness "culture" includes accusations of widespread abuse at the company.
"It started at the corporate office, this attorney started abusing employees, then he's abusing them sexually, now the culture leads into the people doing the right thing are being thrown out of Planet Fitness," Grondahl said.

A few days ago, we (The Deplorable Family) were out and about at a home show. They had a Planet Fitness booth there, so we ignore them, but they asked us if we had gym membership, Mrs Deplorable told them that she did, but not now. They told us that it is a franchise and theirs don’t allow Trans in women’s locker room, but I said, “Sorry, but I don’t believe you. You need to tell corporate to change the policy.” We walked away.

The downside to what used to be called the suits in a corporate boardroom dictating an unpopular policy is that franchisees suffer, especially in conservative areas. They are bread and butter business owners who often sink their savings or owe financing debt at a bank to finance ownership. The Left tends to dominate large corporations, upscale urban neighborhoods and high end suburbs. They live in a MSM/ NPR bubble and regard poor and middle class whites about like Hillary Clinton and Obama did.
Apparently, you missed the part of the article that said, "Grondahl sold the company to private equity in November 2012 and lost control."

After the new bathroon was completed, it was called the “UNISEX” bathroom. One day the boss and I were talking in the hallway and I asked whether this was an incorrect term to use.

He was as upset about the whole awkward matter as was the entire field ofice.
It was better days. There were a lot fewer of us by at least half and most of us were of the same culture. Our parents had survived the war and understood order and discipline for the most part. Those things are mostly gone now. A house divided against itself cannot stand.

If they insist on having this policy, they could retrofit their gyms with a “trans and nonbinary” changing area. Apparently they’d rather go broke.

I have no formal training and am just here to stay informed and get opinions that aren't manipulated by the left. I'm pretty sure the men with the blue jackets and 3 letters are reading everything and seeing who has been naughty and who has been nice.
