A 6-year-old who shot his teacher allegedly told another educator he wanted to light her on fire and watch her die, according to a report.
Last month, the troubled boy nearly made good on his apparent murderous impulses, shooting first grader teacher Abigail Zwerner at Richneck Elementary School in Newport News., Va., officials have said. Zwerner survived.
Zwerner and other Richneck teachers said they had shared their fears about the child’s grave behavior with administrators, only to have their concerns downplayed or ignored, The Washington Post reported.
Zwerner had asked for support with the boy, and expressed concerns about his behavior, teachers wrote in online messages to Newport News Superintendent George Parker III.
Abigail Zwerner was reportedly finally released from the hospital this week. “She had asked for help,” one school staff member wrote in the chat.
“Several times,” another added.
The child, who was known to throw furniture and other objects in the classroom, once wrote a note to a teacher in which he told her hated her, wanted to set her on fire to kill her, the teachers union told The Washington Post. When she brought the disturbing letter to school administrators, they told her to drop it, according to the teacher.

Most homicides in Chicago are committed by "race unknown" because the perps aren't caught. They happen in black neighborhoods and leave black victims.

Exactly. The dysfunctional, mentally ill little shite should have been removed from that classroom months ago. In the interest of “inclusion” his teacher and every other student in that school was placed at risk of his proven and predictable violent behavior.
Society MUST get back in the habit of isolating, and if necessary exterminating, dangerous individuals. We are committing cultural suicide by letting them continue to infest our environment.
And his parent(s) should be held criminally liable for this shooting as well.
I had a window seat in the Vasbf(sp?) (Virginia Ship Building Facility) for about two weeks. I represented my company in August 2001 for the contractors’ kick-off meeting for the CVN-77. My window overlooked the coal mounds, with the fire hose sweeping back and forth to keep the dust down, and Cheasie & Ohio coal cars dumping loads, while the conveyors fed the ships bound mostly for Germany. We used the buddy system walking across the street to the (pretty decent) greasy spoon for lunch.
The CVN-68 (Nimitz) was in dry dock across the yard for her three overhaul to swap out her reactor vessels. Nimitz-Class have a 60 service life with a three year overhaul to swap out reactor vessels after 30 years.
Exactly, it’s possible it WAS a hate crime. Kids at 6 themselves don’t develop racial hate but they sure do listen and learn from their parents who might in fact be racists.

But if you had an issue like that, why would you have a gun in the house? Or not make it way more inaccessible than this one was.
Although the kid seems like some kind of idiot savant of evil. That note seems rather complex for a first grader and what’s with the “barricading” the classroom doors? Plural doors? What kind of barricade is a kid that size going to build?
They are lucky he just shot the teacher and didn’t kill all his classmates.

I never understood that when this kind of evil is known some adults close to the situation don’t have the gutts to step forward and kill off these evil people. They would be saving lives in the future because they know exactly what is going to happen with these psychos. I can tell you if my daughters ever have ex boyfriends or husbands that violently threaten or stalk them, I will put a bullet in their head to save my girls. It’s the right thing to do. This evil little boy in Virginia needs to disappear.

I hope the teacher sues the hell out of the school.
