I would describe myself as a strong fiscal conservative that lean towards social conservativism on many issues. I believe the federal government has one primary mission: protection of the citizens of the United States from enemies both foreign and domestic. The welfare state created in the 1960’s has severly crippled America and needs major reform if we are to survive as a nation. At the state level is where responsibility falls for the development of healthy and safe communities. Areas that I’m passionate about are taxes, immigration, the war on terror, education (school choice), economic development, roads/bridges and criminal justice. Beyond that the state and federal governments need for the most part to stay the hell out of our way.
