Let them have their grand jury. Once this gets to court there is no way 12 jurors will agree to persecute Trump. It’s another show trial.

Had Rapsberger done precisely what Trump asked him to do there could be a case. Since he did not there is no action pursuant to a demand, thus no grounds for charges.

The liberals already have enough red meat with the bitch AG in NYC and the Jan 6 Commission. But, they have to get at Trump quickly. Trump is not running in November so they either tarnish Trump now or all but the NYC investigation will go away. Average voters have very short memories. The Jan 6 Commission has to be finished by Memorial Day. There is little interest in it now, there will be less once school is out. Come November, voters will remember COID mandates, supply chain issues, lack of jobs, what they paid at the pump that day, how much their groceries cost that week and how much their taxes went up to support illegals. They will not remember the Jan 6, NYC or GA investigations come November let alone in 2024.
It's the GOPe that have the most to lose if MAGA conservative candidates win in November. Many of those candidates will have to run again in 2024 they will know who elected them the last time out and will support Trump or DeSantis (or both) in 2024.
The GOPe needs to sideline Trump, takeover the MAGA movement and kill it before 2024 or face possible extinction. The only way a Bush, Cheney or Hogan can get elected is by killing the MAGA movement and hope enough GOP voters remain. Biden, Harris, Newsome and Hillary are all the RATS have as of now. None of them are popular. The GOPe feels even fat f*** Christie can beat Biden, Harris or Hillary.
What the GOPe fails to grasp, MAGA grew out their killing the Tea Party movement. They really do not want to see what grows out of the GOPe killing the MAGA movement.

Trump also made a personal phone call to a GA elections investigator imploring her to find the fraud, telling her she would be lauded as a hero if she did. Mind you, this was not an elected official, just some state employee.

Well, he asked Raffensperger to find more votes and he intimated that not doing so would amount to a “criminal offense” and would be a “big risk” (legally) to Raffensperger and his lawyer. Coming from the POTUS, this goes a good deal beyond just a friendly and polite ask.
But regardless of whether it was legal or not, Trump’s attempts to influence the elections investigation in GA, either by intimidation or charm, certainly is sketchy as hell for anyone willing to look at it objectively. If any Democrat president did anything like this people here on FR would be screaming for investigations and/or calling for summary executions.

I have to agree with you. President Trump was his own worst enemy with his phone calls and never taking care that his enemies are always listening for a mis-step. He trusted the GOP in Georgia too much and just like the Ukraine telephone call, they have his call on recording.
