Thieves have stolen the painting "Two Laughing Boys" by Dutch golden age artist Frans Hals from a museum in the Netherlands, the third time it has been taken, police said Thursday.
The canvas by the 17th century master was taken during a burglary at the Hofje van Mevrouw van Aerden museum in Leerdam in the early hours of Wednesday, they said.
The painting, featuring two laughing boys with a mug of beer, was previously stolen from the same museum in 2011 and 1988, being recovered after six months and three years respectively.

Sounds like some kind of frat initiation prank.
Sounds like an inside job. RFID chips are cheap.
Suggestion - fire everyone who approved the security setup.
I once exited a museum through a fire exit by mistake in some foreign country.
Alarm bells went off. they were pretty calm about it but it wasnt some big masterpiece type of museum
Well, I think it’s hilarious!
Next time it’s recovered, send the painting to a different museum. Obviously, they cannot provide adequate security.
It’s like El Chapo digging a tunnel out of jail.
Find a new jail next time.
Im getting the impression they could use a better security system. Three times?! Are you kidding?
That was a funny movie. You don’t hear Bean talk too much but his speech where he pretended to be some stuffy pretentious intellectual speaking about Whistler’s Mother was pretty good.
We have friends from the Netherlands. Great people- but socialism has given the entire country a la de da attitude about everything!
