Rep. (Louie Gohmert) (R-Texas) introduced a House resolution Thursday calling on lawmakers to ban organizations or political groups that have historically supported the Confederacy or slavery in the U.S., a list he said includes the Democratic Party.
A great portion of the history of the Democratic Party is filled with racism and hatred. Since people are demanding we rid ourselves of the entities, symbols, and reminders of the repugnant aspects of our past, then the time has come for Democrats to acknowledge their partys loathsome and bigoted past, and consider changing their party name to something that isnt so blatantly and offensively tied to slavery, Jim Crow, discrimination, and the Ku Klux Klan, Gohmer (said in a statement).
The resolution is co-sponsored by GOP Reps. Andy Biggs (Ariz.), Jody Hice (Ga.), Randy Weber (Texas) and Andy Harris (Md.)
It comes after the House on Wednesday voted to remove from the Capitol statues of people who served in the Confederacy or defended slavery.

Louie is one Texan who is still a true Texan...Texans should get behind this man who cares about his/their TX heritage before their state looses it's identity from Texicans to Liberal.

Yes, ban those violent, parasitic, radical fringe organizations, but there is no way anyone is going to ‘ban the Democrat Party’ itself. They could say much the same thing about the Republican Party, even though the presumed danger would be a fabrication.

Not only is this brilliant, but totally POLITICALLY CORRECT!

Hilarious. He certainly proved a point. They want every reminder of people involved in prior civil rights abuses, pertaining only to blacks, destroyed and erased from history all the while belonging to and voting for the party of those same people who created it. Too funny.

Getting tired of the DemocRat Party being referred to as the Democratic Party. They have absolutely no connection to democracy at this point, and certainly have no place in the republic.

I wonder if anyone has created t-shirts for this yet. Wearing “Ban The Democrat Party” hats or shirts could make for some interesting conversation. Or death.

The rats are the biggest hypocrites to ever walk the earth. Gohmert’s bill should be shared with as many people as possible. A big segment of our population needs to be reminded how racist the democrats really are.
