An executive order signed last week by President Trump that would exclude undocumented immigrants from the decennial reapportionment process would cost the nations three largest states at least one seat in Congress, a new analysis finds.
It is unclear how the Trump administration plans to alter any final Census figures, or what datasets they would rely on to determine how many undocumented immigrants live in each state. Most legal scholars believe the order will not stand up in court.
But if it were to stand, it would likely mean Texas and Florida would each gain one fewer seat in the House than they are projected to do so, based on recent population trends. California, the home of more undocumented immigrants than any other state, would lose an additional seat as well.

“meaning that in CA redrawing the maps would probably result in a republican losing a seat.”
But, it would mean that possibly 1 or 2 or the obnoxious demonrats in the Houston Area lose seats to republicans.
I’d love to see on of Silvia Garcia or Sheila Jackson Lee (Racist last name BTW) be redistricted out of congress

It would likely cost Dimocrats the seats in Congress is what the headline should have indicated.

I’m a Texan. If this order costs us seats, it doesn’t bother me at all. Only citizens (and perhaps permanent residents) should ever have been counted for purposes of representation.

Slight correction to previous post:

IOW, it won't cost seats, it merely moves representation to places with more actual US citizens.

I was up late last night thinking, and came up with what I term a study. I gave it some thought. That is study isn't it? Bozos are coming out of the woodwork these days.

So. What. A House seat apportioned under false pretenses is unconstitutional FRAUD.

Maybe some of these states have too much representation.

How can state gain fewer seats?

Bozos are coming out of the woodwork these days. You got that right.
Wasn't California about 1/5th illegals twenty years ago? That's got to be a loss of at least three seats after readjustment.

I’ve often wondered if it isn’t more like 1/4th to 1/3rd.
Of course nobody in the media will research this and give us
an accurate figure.
