NBC News admitted it aired a deceptively edited clip Sunday of Attorney General Bill Barr talking about former National Security Advisor Michael Flynns case.
The clip, aired on host Chuck Todds Meet the Press program, showed Barr being asked by CBS News Catherine Herridge how the decision to dismiss Flynns case will be viewed upon looking back.
Todd played a clip that showed Barr responding by saying that history is written by the winners, so it largely depends on whos writing the history.
Todd chastised Barr for the comment, saying he was struck by the cynicism of the answer its a correct answer, but hes the attorney general. He didnt make the case that he was upholding the rule of law. He was almost admitting that, yeah, this was a political job.
However, the clip that NBC News played did not show that Barr did, in fact, say that the decision upheld the rule of law. The network was immediately called out on the deceptively edited clip, and NBCs Meet the Press Twitter eventually admitted wrongdoing in a reply tweet.

This is nothing new for Chuck Todd and NBC News, of course. Just the latest example. And this admission won't be seen by those who were deceived.
NBC News admitted it aired a deceptively edited clip...
...AND THEN WHAT?!?!?
In the words of Waxman, “SO WHAT?”
Chuck Fraud
They always get caught, yet they still do it.
NBC did NOT admit it aired a deceptively edited clip. It said it made a mistake. Big difference.
bttt
How about an FCC fine equal to 1 year of advertising on all NBC platforms. That would send a message.
NBC in its entirety is deceptively edited.
NO! Nuh-uh! Chuck Todd lied?
I would love to see that picture with Todd with a small hole between his eyes and both eyes pointing toward his nose.
More fake news.
And then what? Nothing, of course. Just a blurb on twitter. There will be no on-air correction or apology from Chuck Todd on next week’s program. So the lie they admitted to remains believed by almost all who saw it. Mission accomplished. Chuck Todd also added his own commentary to it that Barr was “admitting it was a political job”, as though all of the documentation that was uncovered didn’t exist which predicated the dismissal.
By deceptively edited is meant, Chuck Todd intended to lie, is unfit for broadcasting, and should be fired, period.
I dont know why any member of the Trump administration agrees to these interviews in the first place. They know they wont be treated fairly. Choke off their ratings and revenue by leaving them out in the cold.
NBC is Comcast
NBC sucks...NBC sexually harasses the young, covers for predators like Weinstein, and ‘news lies’ with doctored tapes...
Can we assume that’s what creepy white liberal ‘elites’ get off on? Joe’s smelling little girls hair while watching ‘Meet the Press’?
So WHY isn't the FCC investigating this?
