BAGHDAD — Qasem Soleimani, Iranian Major general of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and his Deputy General, have been killed in an airstrike at the Baghdad International airport, Iraqi media says. An engineer was also among those killed.
An unknown number of rockets struck at least two vehicles belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces that were transporting the high ranking officials.
Initial reports say seven people were confirmed killed but the number could rise as the vehicles and bodies were badly charred.

Last time the Iranian government tried to take an American embassy with a Democrat president in office, they held 58 Americans hostages over a year until a Republican was elected President and then released them. This time when they ordered their proxies to storm an American embassy with a Republican president the only fatality was the guy who ordered them to storm it.. The lesson learned by the mullahs is to wait until the next election cycle to see if a Dem is elected before they storm an American embassy
