Yes, the Qur'an declares the Arabs are better than all other Muslims. There are 57 majority Muslim nations. Sunnis make up ~87% of the world's Muslims. Iraq is majority Shia. So is Syria. So you have that Shia region of influence moving west out of Iran to Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. Iran is also aiding the Muslim rebels in Yemen fighting KSA.
At some point in the Sunni-Shia feud they will ally to defeat The Great Devil (U.S.) and The Little Devil (Israel) to fulfill Muhammed's Islamic caliphate.

No dumb questions. We all engage on FR with different levels of information, analyses, opinions, and biases. The MSM journalists are poorly schooled in history. A great example of that was the lousy coverage of the 1990s break-up of Yugoslavia into various civil wars. I could not tell who was who. Only 20 years later when I read Christian history did I learn about the Muslim invasions of the Balkans, and the Christian schism between the Eastern Orthodox and the RCC. Essentially, Tito forcefully, under communism, held together a population of Muslims, EO, and RCC. Once he died, the 3 basic sects began fighting each other.
Bosnian = Muslim
Croat = RCC
Serb = EO
