BAGHDAD — Qasem Soleimani, Iranian Major general of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and his Deputy General, have been killed in an airstrike at the Baghdad International airport, Iraqi media says. An engineer was also among those killed.
An unknown number of rockets struck at least two vehicles belonging to the Popular Mobilization Forces that were transporting the high ranking officials.
Initial reports say seven people were confirmed killed but the number could rise as the vehicles and bodies were badly charred.

I have seen very little about the technical details of this operation. All I know is that it was an air-launched Hellfire missile.
This was obviously a very accurate shot. Any idea about the range to target.
Any idea how you shoot a moving target from that range?
And to your comment: Are you just speculating about owning Iraqi airspace or something else (stealth, Iraqi agreement, ...) ?

The Ayatollah would be well advised to understand that was not the last Hellfire on the rack.
He had a hand in countless American warrior deaths in Iraq. He was particularly deadly with respect to IEDs. Maybe the better question is how do you NOT know of him?
