I know a Washington team is not very popular here on FR. Regardless of the classless fans on Sunday night, the Washington Nationals team won. Beating in succession three very good teams. Congratulations to the Washington Nationals!
The Series winners are a group of fine young men giving their all....and I certainly don't hold the sins of their city, their owners or their fans against them. That would be bad sportsmanship to the nth degree.
Congratulations, guys....I hope President Trump will have a hot dog and popcorn party for them on the White House lawn!

I had a bad feeling about this game as the Astros were playing at home. Why could neither team win at home? Weird. No matter, they are still my favorite team and I will be rooting for them next year.
If Trump is smart, he won't invite 'em. But you're right, the team would probably turn down an invite. Their fans showed no class on Sunday.
Anti-Trumpers that never watched a game in their life will, of course, suddenly care very deeply about baseball for a few moments.
I'm sure POTUS DJT will extend an invitation. Just like I'm sure there will be some on the team (including management and ownership) that will take the opportunity to display their TDS and ruin the occasion.

i’m not a NL fan and my team lost to the Stro’s, but as a baseball fan you gotta love their fighting spirit...One thing though, I think what the Nats did to Houston (who had an unbelievable home record were stopped. This makes the case for the NL and Nats for being completely with a DH. Rather see that type of ball.

You’re right, Trump should not invite them to the White House. Don’t give the Trump haters a reason to gloat when they refuse, and they will definitely make a big show out of refusing the invitation.
