On Morning Joe, pressed by Joe Scarborough as to what would happen if people refuse to surrender weapons such as AR-15s covered by his mandatory gun buyback plan, Beto O'Rourke admits that law enforcement would "visit" and "recover" the weapon.
Scarborough actually presses Beto and gets him to admit that law enforcement would “visit” and “recover” AR-15s if people don’t comply with his proposed confiscation law.

They can have my AR-15. But only my AR-15 - that POS has the bolt carrier stuck midway into the buffer tube and the previous owner welded or somehow stuck the front pin in such a way that it’s basically a hinge. I bought it that way years ago in a package deal with other things I wanted.
Now, if they want my FAL, my AKs, my AR *pattern* rifles? That’s a slightly different story.

This kind of proposal is why no-one is willing to register their firearms. So Beto, you planning on sending your storm troopers house to house to search every home for "illegal" weapons?
