Judge Brett Kavanaugh & Professor Christine Blasey Ford Testify
The Senate Judiciary Committee hears testimony from Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Professor Christine Blasey Ford about her allegations that Judge Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while the two were teenagers.
On Dobbs, Ed Rollins spoke into the camera to the GOP Senators. He said they’d all better vote for Kavanaugh. If they don’t, he’ll take the millions of dollars in his PAC, and “I’ll come after you”.
Crying is a weakness, but that’s what made this so intense — they broke him down. And he strikes me as the kind of guy who rarely gets so shaken up. Determined athelete, determined student — driven by his father.

It took great evil to drive him to such a point in public.
I thought her rebuttal to Grassley was weak-@assed at the end. So what if Ford wanted to keep it confidential. She seems dumb as a box of rocks. As the days ticked by she should have said this needs to be addressed. But she didn’t because it was just a stall tactic.
I did not like that strategy since this empowers more bullcrap down the line and letting false allegations without corroborating evidence go unpunished (I believe Kavanaugh may have had a hand in that strategy). Judiciary committee just wanted survive and keep their powder dry to go after dems during the Kavanaugh phase after Mitchell was done after 10 minutes.
Kav did a great job filibustering the bullcrap dems spewed with an assist by Grassley at times, however dems still have their base riled up.
The hearings went a lot better once the Arizonian prosecutor was out of the way though.
I always cringed when some Dem would ask Brett if he was calling the other person (Ford, et al) a “liar”. Those are pretty strong words to call somebody. Of course he had to be diplomatic and did okay.
I was just thinking, it still might have been a bit harsh, but a response might be:
“Well - either they are a liar, or you are calling me a liar. I have no idea what is going on in their minds, what they do or do not recall, or whatever. I DO know that what I have told you is the truth, and I am not lying.”
I wonder if Kavanaugh’s TV interview with McCallum was a case of him sandbagging the Rats. He acted all “robotic” (some say) and low-key.

That thought crossed my mind, too - but I really don’t think his mind works that way, so I suspect not.
It almost feels like the questions Mitchell asked were given to her by Collins and Murkowski.
She was just following order from Schumer!
I noticed a tear or two going down my own cheeks at Kavanaugh’s statement.
I’m a man. But then I notice this same thing happening to me at mushy movies, or extraordinary renditions of the National Athem.
In this case, the saltwater from my eyes was for the Kavaaugh family, and most of all, for the country.
Then, as Kavanaugh’s testimony continued, I got angry. Thank God Mitchell’s questioning was replaced by Lindsay and his friends!

If McCain had anything on Graham, I imagine McCain’s demise freed him. Assuming someone else is blackmailing him into doing the right thing ... well ... that doesn’t sound right.
I thought she sounded a little creepy with her little girl voice and her reaction when she finally admitted that she does fly from destination to destination. She seemed like she was caught with her hand in the cookie jar (her grin). So much for good faith negotiating. She’s probably a good candidate for a dissociative identity disorder ID...maybe that’s why she’s seeing a psychologist??
If Trump were a blackmailer, he’d have DC firmly in his hip pocket from the day he was elected.
Who would have ever thought that during a he-said-she-said investigation/trial of attempted-rape, that the female alleged victim would have tried & utterly failed to fake tears and to fake choking up, while OTOH it was the male alleged attacker who tried to keep his composure but choked up! (when talking about his little girl, who he obviously loves so dearly.)

Trump has a lot of pull through both private and public interest regarding Manchin, Murkowski’s, and Collin's State. As far as Flake is concerned, your last major decision better not make you a pariah as well when you are young. John McCain is nor present to vouch for you anymore Flake.
I agree, Ford is a dumb@ss bimbo, just goes to show any idiot can earn a PhD in psychology. She was heavily coached, had the fake little girl voice down cold. Sickening.

Drugs can disrupt long term memory — especially mind altering meds like psychotropics. It would make sense — I assume she was indeed traumatized by someone.
I know my own memory [and all round brain function] was messed up by plain old sinus medication — pseudofed.
I’ve had many beers today. I like beer and I like Brett Kavanaugh...and I like you! Normally dont drink through the day, but looking forward to a conservative SC for many years. It’s all part of MAGA.
