am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.

No they don’t. They were around 30 short on the original vote.

It cost him his second term. Maybe I’ll tweet this to the President although he may not see it or care.

The president has used the DACA wedge far too much. There are many more reasons than that to veto this monstrosity, such as adding another trillion to the national debt, and a long list a pork barrel spending items thrown in by a long list of legislators.

Checkers and chess my friends. POTUS gets nothing from this deal and the last time I checked, he’s not the type of person who likes to lose in any negotiation, so why would he sign this bill that would efffectively kill his base’s faith in him for nothing in return? I will strongly support Trump until his actions, not his words, breaks my faith in him.

Trump would never veto a bill that is filled with bloated sh!t. Anyone who voted for him expecting him to be a “small government conservative” was delusional.
As is often the case, he’s threatening to veto this bill because it’s obvious that the GOP will pay an awful price for it in November.

Guess that cup never even gets near half full for you, does it?

No, he hasn’t. He’s intentionally eating away at part of the RAT base and, in turn, suggesting that, in general, they don’t give a damn about ANY of their precious special interest groups, but merely use them as vote fodder.

It’s a brilliant move, and he should keep doing it.

Thank you for the link.

I sent the message to President Trump to veto the bill and build the wall.

I am an engineer.

An optimist sees the cup as half full.

A pessimist sees it as half empty.

An engineer sees a cup that is twice as large as it needs to be.

I believe that you are missing the political strategy of blaming a veto on the lack of DACA

You can tell he's seething. He's the ONLY one standing up and fighting. He absolutely needs renfocrments in the Senate. I wish McConnell had lost in 2014.

But, but, but...LOTS of people right here on FR told us the people of Kentucky HAD to vote for McConnell! Why? Because he had an "R" after his name!

I don’t like this part>
SEC. 512. (a) IN GENERAL.—None of the funds appropriated or otherwise made available to the Department of Defense in this Act may be used to construct, renovate, or expand any facility in the United States, its territories, or possessions to house any individual detained at United States Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, for the purposes of detention or imprisonment in the custody or under the control of the Department of Defense.

An engineer should not try to be profound. Leave that to a philosopher.
