Breaking on twitter: Trump threatens VETO of Omnibus Spending Bill

am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.

My point is that the conventional wisdom was that there were two fixed blocks, Dems & Repubs and they were not moving, to win you needed to motivate Indis.

In 2016 Donald Trump broke the mold and got significant support from a segment of Dems. He is continuing to fracture the Dem base support which produces a new group of more flexible votes ??Indis. The DACA folks can’t vote for years. I believe they will be by that time a much smaller group because a large% will not meet the criteria. The DACA supporters however are already voting. The wedge will accomplish two things: (a) by fracturing the base there will be a movement towards the fringes like La Raza which will make the Dem candidates that emerge less and less electable by the general electorate, (b) some of the disillusioned may begin to see that their aims better align with POTUS especially since they may have better wages, better job prospects and have received bonuses.

It is a many pronged attack, the best kind, where you keep adding weight to the scales and eventually the balance shifts.

House Freedom Caucus has come out in full support of a veto.

There is no doubt in my mind the Prez has a strategy all along.

I’m sickened by all the trolls and take ball go home types here who don’t appreciate Trump yet.

“If you do sign it, which I hope you don’t, at a minimum fire Mueller at the same time!

Hold THEM hostage for once. “

That’s not how it would play out. Congress would simply impeach him, with at least 100 Republican votes to go with the Democrats in the House...and the Senate would swiftly convict him with more than 80 votes. The Deep State wins and Mike Pence becomes a paper president, completely owned by the now All Powerful Establishment. They have a Trump check-mated on this battlefield. That’s why they gor all bipartisan all of a sudden. He’s got find a different battlefield.

I remember Cruz was courteous towards Trump until he realized Trump could win.. Then he unleashed attacks and LIES on Donald Trump and his wife.. Donald Trump FOUGHT BACK and told the Truth about Lying Ted and his wife.. Do I remember the exact details off hand.. No.. I would have to go back and watch the vids and read the articles.. and after doing all of that you will still defend Ted because you obviously were blinded to the truth the first time around. Donald Trump was always fair.. Cruz was a RAT and a CREEP. It broke heart.. Cruz proved himself to be just like the rest of the Republicans.. LYING SOB’s!

Try supporting the President instead of silly threats. Has Trump not delivered on so many fronts whole fighting off literally the entire world government apparatus and being torn to shreds every single day?
Yet the level of support he gets from your ilk is he “better” do this or that.

It’s childish and ineffective. He IS enacting a conservative agenda but also trying to decimate the Democrat party, GOPe, and globalism. You think all he needs from us is being ready to bail in the middle of every battle?

Trump better know what he is doing with this DACA game. Cant the dhimmicrats just add daca to the same bill and send it back. Then we get this krap sandwhich AND daca

***

They’d have to add DACA and the other three pillars they don’t want.

Trump has been exuberant (look at his tweets) and feeling his oats the last two months as he has fired a few useless eaters like bullet head McMasters, and appointed some solid people like John Bolton and Mike Pompeo. Trump thinks he is on the way to nullifying Bob Mueller and his team of Democrat lawyers as he hires Victoria Toensing and Joe DeGenova. Trump needs to stay on the good diet he supposedly has adopted. Cheeseburgers only twice a month! (lulz)

He just might veto this arrogant budget which BASICALLY says to Donald Trump that he is not a DC player and can be safely ignored. We shall see. Will Trump risk a joint Democrap-Republican RINO government shutdown? We shall see.

you can resolve this conundrum for me by giving me an example of a lie that Ted Cruz told.

Accusing Trump of supporting single-payer using out of context remarks of Trump saying something positive about single payer in Canada and Scotland...

"As far as single-payer, it works in Canada. It works incredibly well in Scotland."

and then Trump added, referring to the US,
"It could have worked in a different age, which is the age you're talking about here."

Cruz took this and tried to paint Trump as supporting single payer in the US.

He lost me at that point.
It wasn't a ploy that a Christian principled conservative would have used.
It was the tactic of a typical slimy politician.

Originally I had supported Cruz for President,
then when I saw how much more effective Trump was at attracting folks to the MAGA agenda
I began to see Cruz as a balance to Trump on a Trump/Cruz ticket.

His lie about Trump opened my eyes to his nature and I cast him off.
Perhaps he could still do good in the Senate but my hopes for him doing greater things vanished.

Here's someone else's take on it...

Ted Cruz twists Donald Trump's talk about health care, 'socialized' medicine

Signing this wouldn’t give Trump the congress’s blessing to get rid of the attempted coup’ lead operator...
