Breaking on twitter: Trump threatens VETO of Omnibus Spending Bill

am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.

I loved Ted Cruz until I saw what a lying SOB he really was.. all talk grand-standing fraud.

This is interesting news. Back in 2016, I asked anyone to come up with examples of lies that Cruz had told, and I was not surprised when no one could put forth a single example of something that would constitute a lie told by Ted Cruz. Many people tried, but when I ran down their claims, I discovered they were not actually true.

Now that you are here, you can resolve this conundrum for me by giving me an example of a lie that Ted Cruz told.

I'm thrilled that Trump won, and I think he has turned out to be a much more effective President than Cruz would have been, but I really don't see any point in people continuing to attack Cruz, especially when I have yet to see a substantiated claim against him.

Oh, and for what it's worth, I think if Cruz had won the nomination, we would have President Hillary. I think only Trump could have won this last election.

“His first complaint with the bill regards DACA? really?”

Yup. That’s called politics. Trump is going after California.

President Trump,

If you do sign it, which I hope you don't, at a minimum fire Mueller at the same time!

Hold THEM hostage for once.

It shows that either A: The President listens to the people and we were able to convince him of how BAD this bill was, or B: he was toying with the pukes in Congress and is coming out on top again.

I’d believe either right now, or maybe both.

This is the lesson that the GOP never learns, no matter how many times the democrats pull a Lucy with the football. Just a bunch of hapless Charlie Browns.

I used to think this, but it happens too many times. I now think they are more or less puppets of a wealthy donor class, and they make pretense at opposition while they do the bidding of these wealthy donor people who act behind the scenes.

His first complaint with the bill regards DACA? really? And what about the gun control, excessive spending, PP funding, Obamacare funding, and a pile of other things he won the election opposing?

CT, you cannot be that naive. He mentioned two pieces - DACA and the wall. One stiff-arms the left from criticizing him, and the other gets the right to support the veto. He reportedly also mentioned the overall overspending. See how this plays out. If you don't like what is ultimately done, then bitch and moan. But at least give him the room to play chess while others still insist on playing checkers.

All Mattis sees is the military budget. He wants it bigger. Much bigger. And this bill gives him some of that, so he doesn't want it jeopardized.

People are very quick when it comes to self interest. POTUS has already stared red-pilling the Hispanic & Black voting blocks. Swaths of those groups are speaking out against the Democratic track record and the lack of any concrete action.

I think you forget there are not only DACA people in the block for whom amnesty is a core issue. Many of the others vote. Convincing those people that POTUS wants to solve the problem is a very significant gain. POTUS does want to solve the issue because he wants to clean up immigration, end chain migration & the lottery, change to a merit based system with quotas in America’s interest. Strengthen the border & implement a better way of keeping track of Visa holders to prevent overstays.

In essence by making it a package POTUS is welding together a new constituency and robbing the DEMS of support in 2018 & 2020.

Because he’s rubbing in the fact that the Dems are liars and hypocrites. He’s not going to let go that he offered twice as much as what the liberals were demanding for illegals and they still wouldn’t deal in exchange for doing their jobs by protecting the country.

And he’s going to continue to rub it in, so that just maybe more people will wake up to the fact that the Ds are sacks of crap.

Trump has the opportunity to show who’s boss and save his Presidency.

No too mention sticking this monstrosity up those scumbags Ryan and McConnell’s ass.

Good job, looks like the government will be down for a while.

Masterful.

It comes very naturally because Donald Trump has incorporated strategies into his way of thinking from reading, thinking and experimenting over decades over decades(Sun Tzu and others)

Those of us who have not studied those sources may need to tease out the strategies to understand.

Actually, Senator Rand Paul was on a roll last night on Twitter. He was posting actual line items in the bill. You could tell he was pyssed.

I adore that man!

I’m sure you’d have room for a million or so in Zambia, right?

And maybe the Gitmo murderers that worry you so as well?

Tits on a boar.
