Breaking on twitter: Trump threatens VETO of Omnibus Spending Bill

am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.

Take your engineer's hubris and conceit and put it where the sun doesn't shine. I'll put my writing skills and intellectual curiosity against your dumb aphorisms any day.

Veto the bill, Mr. President and show the Never Trumpers what is what.

If you support a veto on this spending bill, send the president an email of support. Make Congress OWN IT! :-)

No, he hasn’t. He’s intentionally eating away at part of the RAT base and, in turn, suggesting that, in general, they don’t give a damn about ANY of their precious special interest groups, but merely use them as vote fodder.

This is what I was thinking. Driving wedges between different constituencies in your political opposition's base is always good politics.

I’m over the loss. I was merely asked who was a conservative that could win. I hope by the time 4 years is over .... if he lasts that long.... that Trump isn’t worse than Hilary would have been.

Simplicity, in engineering, is elegance.

Profundity is found in an elegant solution that anticipates unknown issues.

Besides, I put half my water in a redundant glass.

(BTW - the glass is always full, even if half is filled with air).

He wants to veto it and he wants the dems to pay a price. Be patient. He is positioning.

I think this bill actually bars the use of concrete as an “environmentally hazardous substance”!

I’ve sent two tweets and sent a message to the White House.

It was amazing to watch Bush go from a 92% popularity rating to losing the 2nd term to a sleazy hillbilly.

Trump’s action on the Omnibus spending bill will determine whether he serves a full term and whether the R party has a future as a majority political entity at the federal level for a generation to come.

It is that important.

It is also clear that dissembling congressional R’s either desire the party’s submission to derision, and the nation’s glory to despair, or have forgotten the reasons they have achieved the positions they hold and dismiss the people and the sacrifices of those who made this nation free and great.

Boy, the stupidity is strong on this thread.

FR is oftentimes like your neighborhood bar, with your good dialog as well as your group of idiot drunks opining.

Grow up. None of this bill is Trump’s fault and if you thought without bias, you could see that.

Why not a “line item” veto. Wish he would do it that way. Otherwise, I have no problem with a full veto.

Twitter is the 8th most popular website in the United States. That's where MAGA voices need to be.

Twitter now uses advanced ChiCom tactics to actively censor us. Good luck with that.

These bills are so twisted, that we need a panel objective readers to sort out what’s being said. My speed “reading” came to pause on that one.

Creepy seditious swampers need a place to stay while they think of all the crimes they’ve been part of.

You write sentences like “Besides, I put my water in a redundant glass” and think you are expressing yourself in an elegant manner? What planet are you on?

I couldn’t believe it when they were gloating last night. How could they be so dumb? It has got to be hubris although Pelosi’s IQ is Maxine Waters level.

I think she has never been particularly smart or sane, but I think her current problem is age, medication and brain degradation.

She's gotten increasingly out of touch in such a way I can only presume she is suffering a medical condition of some sort.

No, no, no.

Trump’s mention of the DACA “kids” in his tweet is only intended to undercut the Democrats and present himself as the one who cares about these people - not ONLY to these people, but to vast numbers of the other Democrat special interest groups. He is intentionally eating into their core constituencies and reaching out for broader support should he veto the bill.

Anything he says that makes the Democrats in Congress look bad in the eyes of the rank-and-file Democratic voter is a GOOD thing.

Fox News channel just reported that MATTIS will be calling Trump about Trump’s threat to veto. Mattis is once again carrying the Swamp’s water for them!
