am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.

Cruzers are like Hillary, they still can’t get over their loss. Although it is true that Hillary had a better chance of winning than Ted.

Why on earth are you bringing up Ted Cruz? Is he living in your head or something? I see no manner in which he relates to the currently discussed topic.

Aside from Rand Paul, the above os the first evidence I've seen that anyone has even read this steaming heap.

If you think Trump is a conservative you are sadly mistaken

As I keep telling my NeverTrump relatives, there simply ARE NOT ENOUGH of you doctrinaire Conservatives around anymore to actually win elections.

By towing the Chamber of Commerce economic line for three decades Conservatives managed to alienate scores of people in the Rust Belt and in the South. Trump is the sort of fusion candidate that we need in order to win these days.

And the cost of losing to today's Marxist Democrat party is far too steep to fathom.

I agree with you. Her memory is going too as a consequence of age. No wonder the Dems are trying to oust her. Sadly, they’ll put up somebody even crazier than she is.

“How is it the dems are always getting their way?”

Trump’s mention of the DACA “kids” in his tweet is only intended to undercut the Democrats and present himself as the one who cares about these people - not ONLY to these people, but to vast numbers of the other Democrat special interest groups. He is intentionally eating into their core constituencies and reaching out for broader support should he veto the bill.

Anything he says that makes the Democrats in Congress look bad in the eyes of the rank-and-file Democratic voter is a GOOD thing.

He’s vetoing it for terrible reasons! No amnesty for illegals!

Chess, not checkers. Claiming he is doing it for this reason is an effort to get the DACA supporters mad at the Democrats. He's eroding their base. It's not his real reason for doing it, it's just politically beneficial to him to claim this is the reason he is doing it.

Trump knows how to play this game very well. He didn't suddenly become an idiot.

Exactly. I don’t understand why people can’t see it.

Fox News channel just reported that MATTIS will be calling Trump about Trump’s threat to veto.

I didn’t hear that, but... huh? How do THEY know who Mattis will be calling unless Mattis talked to them and told them? And if he did, he should be fired immediately.

"Why not a line item veto."

SCOTUS ruled it unconstitutional after congress passed it in the '90s.

Of course, they never went back to "fix" it - not a priority, I guess.

I hope by the time 4 years is over .... if he lasts that long.... that Trump isn’t worse than Hilary would have been.

That isn't even remotely possible. Hillary is in fact an evil, psychotic Nazi hate witch, and she has been involved in corruption and illegalities since at least the 1970s.

She would be a continuation of Obama's weaponization of government, but only worse. She would have been a "Red Queen" dictator, and we would have all suffered horribly under her hate filled glare.
