Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a former GOP presidential candidate, said Americans could be watching the end of a political system built around Republicans and Democrats because of deep divisions between the parties.
We may be beginning to see the end of a two-party system, Kasich said in an interview that aired Sunday on ABCs This Week .

I just wish we could just rename the two parties for what they really are... Capitalist and Socialist. that is what they have always been at their core.
>>Gotta admire the Soviet Union. At least they had one party rule and were honest about it.<<
I’m thinking this is the post of the day.
What he really means, and is upset by, is that the RINOs are losing control of the Republican Party, and WILL NOT be welcomed by the Democrats if they try to switch.
Kasich is a POS!
The two-party system died with Ronald Reagan. It has been revived in the last year and a half.
Kasich is setting himself up to run as an independent spoiler.

Certainly, in the running for post of the week. Irony with a twist. Made me laugh and it ripped Kasich at the same time.
It may be the end of this two party systempolitical science types say we are on the third or fourth since the Civil Warbut there will always be a two party system with our elections.
If this is the end of this two party system, it will be replaced by a new two party system. Probably with the same two parties, but different people and factions in them.
With all the political acumen of a bowling ball, Kasich states the obvious.
I agree with you.
The “GOP” long ago sold out to globalists. On everything.
They are all on China’s side. Walmart. All of them. Completely sold out.
The democrats are meanwhile, selling out America. To everyone. They really don’t care who, as long as it doesn’t benefit old white guys.
These two “parties” have been destroying what was great about America, for more than the entire last generation.
Trump seems to be heading another direction. He won with this direction. He had a good amount of people backing him. We will see if he lives up to all the hype, but he is the closest thing to a genuine change of direction which was possible.
And he won.
We will see if he succeeds. But thus far, he seems to be exactly, exactly, what is needed.
In so many ways.
Trump is not part of the fake two party system.
Kasich suffered from the fantasy that people at the Republican convention were going to toss out the people’s choice and elect HIM as our candidate. When it became clear that people were not that stupid, he decided to be an ungracious jerk and not even attend the convention which was being held in his own state.
I believe that this is much the same egotistic problem that McCain suffered with (or suffers, assuming he is still room temperature) - his ego simply could not cope with the fact that the people choose Trump to be President, but DIDN’T elect him.
To hell with them both.
Actually John, the only thing over is your poltical career.
Let’s see - what else has Kasich been right about.
‘zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Thank you.
Hong Kong Phooey has done research and figured out he can’t win as a Demon Rat OR Republican. So he pretends to go indie.
Kasick thinks he is going to run for president as an independent in 2020 and win the election.
He must be snacking on Tide pods if he thinks that’s going to happen.
What two party system? I see one party. Also, every founding father warned incessantly about the dangers of factions, which is what they called parties.
Political parties are unAmerican to begin with. They flip the finger to the Republic.
Then give the two party system a hug. That will help.
Bingo! Of course if his run drains more Rats than Rinos the establishment will nix it.
