high school in New York has pulled its musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame after social justice student activists complained about a leading role being handed to a white student.

Shortly after the Board of Education of the Ithaca City School District (ICSD) pulled the musical, it was replaced with a new project, but signs of a possible problem over the casting not reflecting “diversity” or “inclusiveness” were evident before the roles were even announced.
“When Ithaca High School announced last fall that the spring musical would be The Hunchback of Notre Dame, high school senior Annabella Mead-VanCort’s mother, Eliza VanCort, wrote a letter to school administrators,” the Ithaca Journal reported. “Mother and daughter were thrilled that a musical with a leading role of a female of color would be performed on the school’s stage.”

I particularly hate the Liberty commercials where husbands get insulted continuously . . . and how about the Spectrum commercial with the horribly nasty wife staring straight ahead insulting her stupid, fat red-headed husband who also get insulted when the Spectrum dude shows up to save the day.
I instantly turn off all Liberty and Spectrum commercials . . . gone.
That is not to forget the skinny little jackass in the Flo commercials for Progressive, where he can't be any dumber than shown, and then they go to two white fat guys eating some slop out of a jar, being insulted further by Progressive.

This bothers me. You have “African-American”, and you have “white”. You see this constantly. The latter is meant in a derogatory manner. Aside from the hyphenated American nonsense, the formality of it bugs me. I won’t use that term.
