Sometimes it is helpful to look at an issue from another perspective, to see what the other person is seeing. Since we've been hearing and reading about the immigration-DACA issue for so long now, let's attempt to look at this topic from perspectives different from the common theme. These other perspectives attempt to move beyond simple emotion and ask slightly more meaningful questions regarding the topic, reaching for a reason-based solution.
The common theme is "They were brought here by their parents through no fault of their own. Why should we punish them by making them go back?" The first word we can turn around is "punish." A completely different way to view this might be as follows. "You were born in a Central or South American country and were destined to spend your first 25 years (at least) in that country, which affords significantly fewer opportunities than are available above the Rio Grande. But, as luck would have it, you were randomly selected, among all of the 600 million people who live down there, to be able to spend your first 25 years in the promised land, where essentially every single measure of quality of life exceeded that which you initially faced. At the end of that time, you'd be asked to go back to your native country and begin to contribute there. Perhaps, when back home, you might even be able to improve your homeland. You'd have an exponentially better chance of doing so, given the opportunities you were provided. In fact, one could make the argument that you would have an obligation to do so, given the complete randomness of your selection. So, given that choice, DACA children, which would you have selected?"

End the illegal DACA program.
Restore the rule of law.
Remove ALL illegal aliens.
Build the Wall.
Unfortunately, that idea is at crossed-purposes with the RAT Party’s search for votes which is the only reason they’re here in the first place.
Why must the American citizens be punished by your continual illegal presence ???
Deport all illegal aliens, regardless of age or circumstance of arrival. They can go home with the benefit our US education, healthcare, uplifting, and help fix their sh1thole countries. Good riddance.
While I’ve long agreed with the above position I disagree with a broad brush painting of all the origins of the DACA recipients as a monolithic place totally bereft of any opportunity.
A little simplistic. They come here, don’t learn English. The dims want to turn them into super citizens superceding regular citizens and make us pay for the privilege.
Illegal is so hard to understand by many. I have had it with illegal aliens/colonists/freeloaders.
Well said, Lurkinanloomin!
Selling the mushy middle will be hardest and Donald understands (we got more or less culturally American kids who are being put under the sword of Damocles), but Donald shrewdly insists on getting a quid for the quo. America needs to be able to get this to stop before it can afford to give the nod to those who came.
The Gope traitors in the Senat Caved .
Mitch agreed to push thru Amnesty and Daca.
Traitors .

This philosophy has a lot of merit.
There are 800,000 DACA applicants under Obama and there are 3,000,000 more hiding in the shadows.
The 3,000,000 are now not eligible to apply because the President canceled DACA. Only the 800,000 are to be dealt with.
Most of them are liars. They were never here as children. Most of these ‘Dreamers’ are adults and are lying through their teeth.
So let’s have DHS/ICE investigate these 800,000 and should there be even one inconsistency (lie), their applications are disapproved and they are deported.
There will be only about 50,000 true Dreamers that are granted amnesty as a one-time deal only. Those 50,000 will be the trading card for $40B in border security funding including the Wall AND a merit-based reform of immigration processing.
So the article says let’s look at this from a DIFFERENT perspective. I live in Mexico. I’ve seen this tear apart families. Prolonged time spent away from wives resulted many times in separated divorced families. Prolonged absence of fathers from homes has produced major deinguency in Mexico. Kids NEED fathers. The black culture in the ghettos of America should have taught this important lesson by now. Recently I took business leaders of the USA to high schools in the State of Michoaan. When asked, 80% of the high school students had UNCLES, FATHERS, or BROTHERS in the USA. The crime wave in Michoacan and Guerrero is very high.
But when we visited the states of Yucatan and Campeche, and asked high school students to raise their hands if a Brother, Father or Uncle was in the USA, less than 3% raised their hands. The Businessmen thought there question was not understood and they asked again. Again, 3% rasied their hands. In Acapulco last year there were 1,100 murders, in Yucatan, there were 3. The town of Merida was considered the safest place in Mexico.
So, PLEASE put in perspective OUR perspective, that while it may have brought many to Mexico, it ruined FAMILIES.
PLEASE send these dear kids, the dreamers with their gifts of English and American Genius back to be reunited with their loving Uncles, Aunts, Grand Parents and Cousins. Nothing is as loving as the GREAT MEXICAN FAMILY. YOU WILL DO US ALL A FAVOR BY SENDING THEM BACK, WE HAVE OPEN ARMS.
I don’t have the tech to do this but I hope some FR does.Any posting in FR’s about DACA should be accompanied by a pix on how they arrived on the top of Mexican rail cars and an analysis of the costs and the health and social problems that resulted.
We shouldn’t punish them with expulsion just because their father paid their tuition with money he stole from a bank!!!!
How can illegal aliens be punished by being sent back to their wonderful, non-shithole country? After all “cultural relativit means that every country is equal right?
