There are 800,000 DACA applicants under Obama and there are 3,000,000 more hiding in the shadows.
The 3,000,000 are now not eligible to apply because the President canceled DACA. Only the 800,000 are to be dealt with.
Most of them are liars. They were never here as children. Most of these ‘Dreamers’ are adults and are lying through their teeth.
So let’s have DHS/ICE investigate these 800,000 and should there be even one inconsistency (lie), their applications are disapproved and they are deported.
There will be only about 50,000 true Dreamers that are granted amnesty as a one-time deal only. Those 50,000 will be the trading card for $40B in border security funding including the Wall AND a merit-based reform of immigration processing.
I say no, treat as a class of those who were brought. Some might have distrusted Obama.
If they will apply under a legal Trump program and the facts support the claim they are in.
Anything less loses the mushy middle.

Every bill, including the Goodlatte bill, widens up eligibility to way beyond those already signed up.

That is how it should play out...but RINOs are such pushovers for illegals I am sure that won’t be how it works.
I do not want them to have citizenship, no way no how. That will allow chain migration if we can’t get that stopped. With chain migration each one = 50 more!! Even if one is very upstanding, truly is the best and brightest what are the odds the 50 or so that come attached will be?
If we truly want to do something- on a case by case basis, give them student visas so they can legally stay here and finish school. If they are working, on a case by case basis for those that are doing something that contributes to the good of our country, give them a visa that allows them to work here.
