Sometimes it is helpful to look at an issue from another perspective, to see what the other person is seeing. Since we've been hearing and reading about the immigration-DACA issue for so long now, let's attempt to look at this topic from perspectives different from the common theme. These other perspectives attempt to move beyond simple emotion and ask slightly more meaningful questions regarding the topic, reaching for a reason-based solution.
The common theme is "They were brought here by their parents through no fault of their own. Why should we punish them by making them go back?" The first word we can turn around is "punish." A completely different way to view this might be as follows. "You were born in a Central or South American country and were destined to spend your first 25 years (at least) in that country, which affords significantly fewer opportunities than are available above the Rio Grande. But, as luck would have it, you were randomly selected, among all of the 600 million people who live down there, to be able to spend your first 25 years in the promised land, where essentially every single measure of quality of life exceeded that which you initially faced. At the end of that time, you'd be asked to go back to your native country and begin to contribute there. Perhaps, when back home, you might even be able to improve your homeland. You'd have an exponentially better chance of doing so, given the opportunities you were provided. In fact, one could make the argument that you would have an obligation to do so, given the complete randomness of your selection. So, given that choice, DACA children, which would you have selected?"

The legalization push is such an effort. Far be it from us to oppose?
For what has happened is like that of a domesticated dog or cat. If turned on the street it will probably die, not adapt to ferality.
What, aren’t we believing “shitholes”?
Love comnandments are universal, and when the church makes sniveling excuses then God punishes that ostensibly religious place with liberals.
The Dems shut down the government over favoring DACA ILLEGALS over US Citizens and didnt get DACA. You have to laugh over that level of ineptitude. President Trump needs to dump DACA altogether!
“How would you view about being kidnaped into a place that is saying nothing but it hates you?”
“Kidnaped”(sic)? Who writes your material? La Raza? MEChA? Pope Francis?
“Check out the love commandments. “
Some of us are under the impression that the United States is supposed to be governed by law, even when it applies to the heartwarming families of foreign nationals who choose to ignore it. And break it in myriad ways every single day that they are illegally in the United States.
Apparently the fallout from rewarding mass lawbreaking by foreign nationals is of little concern in Love Commandment World. Maybe you all could try illegally entering Mexico and see how that works out.
No, Jesus stated that to forgive, you must repent first. Again you are pimping cheap Grace. God does not work that way and does not want His followers to be weak and stupid. Forgiving, yes, gullible, heck no.
No, you are pimping self-earned grace.
Fall into step with the Savior and things become far easier.
When will YOU repent?
Hell NO to DACA and Senator ‘Mexico-first’ McConnell and Lindsay Graham shunning the hard working American people.
Remember, #DACA DREAMERS get:
Section 8 housing
Welfare
Food stamps
Free medical
Free college
Free Education
Illegal Votes for Dems
Enough is enough!
What do you get?
“Ive lived in California. Notice the past tense of the verb.”
I feel ya. A lot of my friends can say the same thing and others are making plans to do so. I have to be here so I might as well fight the tide while I’m here.
Self-earned Grace? Hmmm, there was a cost that enabled us to knock on the door; abuse that and you will not enter. You are promoting the abuse of that cost by excusing perpetual sin.
So fine, admonish Mexico too. It’s only fair.
Anyhow if you can shell out la mordida in Mexico suddenly they aren’t as strict as their books say. La mordida is Mexico’s safety valve. Another one is living under the umbrella of a gang.
Secular Liberals and more are the way God punishes an unloving church. You should thank God that it’s only secular liberals.
I was same, sorry but I been to 11 different nations as an American including Japan, UAE, Kuwait, and the Czech Republic, if foreigner in a country like Japan was to do the same thing these people here were doing, you would be dealt with, harshly, they do not tolerate that chit and neither should we.
No I am calling for good will to those who will only cease to sin in future (just like you). Rather, you are judged as you will judge.
Exactly! Try going to some of these other countries and behaving the way the DACA people are and see how fast you would be deported or put in jail. We should never tolerate this out of non-citizens.
Fixed it for you. And for accuracy mordida has made its way into several California city gov'ts thanks to the No Borders crowd.
BTW, we are unlovingly shutting down the huge homeless encampment along the Santa Ana River Trail. Seeing how charitable you are how many of them you can shelter in your house? They say that they have nowhere to go. Love Commandments.
Hell,
Try that in some of the Arab countries I been to, say what you will about them, but they do not play around, as a infidel they will take you money and you can have a good time, get out of line however and you will regret the day you visited, America give people a pot to piss in, too much it seems.
Rollo may be wondering the same thing I am: “when will HTR cease being a pharisee?”
DACA = CACA.
I do not want them to have citizenship, no way no how. That will allow chain migration if we can’t get that stopped. With chain migration each one = 50 more!! Even if one is very upstanding, truly is the best and brightest what are the odds the 50 or so that come attached will be?
If we truly want to do something- on a case by case basis, give them student visas so they can legally stay here and finish school. If they are working, on a case by case basis for those that are doing something that contributes to the good of our country, give them a visa that allows them to work here.
NO citizenship!
First we need to consider what is best for us for a change.
