Hopefully Senate Republicans will be prepared for it, too. This leftover from yesterday will take on additional importance if Al Franken resigns tomorrow. Democrats clean up their messes while Republicans get theirs elected will be the cry from the media, ignoring their 25-year record of covering for Bill Clinton’s sexual predation and their efforts to get him back in the White House via Hillary.
But still, that doesn’t mean Republicans won’t have to answer for Moore, and that the need will become more acute if Franken hits the bricks:
The Senate Ethics Committee will immediately launch an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against retired judge Roy Moore if the Republican Senate candidate wins a special election in Alabama next week.
Moore, projected in most public opinion polls to narrowly defeat Democratic attorney Doug Jones, would likely be called to testify under oath.

Moore served this country as a Company CO in Vietnam. Add he is a West Point grad. MD’s are envious of West Pointers as most could not get in. Moore was not Infantry only an MP officer.
First Congress should release the names of all who had money paid out for their harassment issues. Have an ethics inquiry about them and then on Moore.

I’ve said this before, and the turtle’s posturing only reinforces it. Moore should commit to joining the Senate not as a Republican, but rather as a Conservative Independent. He should make the GOP leadership grovel for his vote on any important issue. He should refuse to caucus with either party and essentially form his own Conservative party of one in the Senate. He should also act as a monkey-wrench for the nonsense from both sides.
Looks like someone just shoved that probe straight up Yertle's Obamahole.
With everybody getting on their moral high horse, we ought to see a scorched earth battle ensue with most of Congress needing to resign.
I hope it transpires prior to my incorporating a walker to get around.

So Mitch, instead of accepting defeat gracefully and beginning to strategize how to work with Moore, goes public saying he's Moore's implacable enemy for life. Okay, Moore is a former DA and tough judge. I'll bet if it's going to be a street fight on ethics charges that Moore can play that game pretty well. He doesn't have to go after McConnell directly, just ferret out corruption in members all through the Senate on both sides of the aisle. If Mitch wants to go scorched earth, he might to consider that he rules an empire of crooks and reconsider how he uses fake ethics investigations.
There have been rumors that McConnell was booted out of the military for raping an enlisted man.
McConnell was given a medical discharge from the military because he had connections with a U.S. Senator, so the story goes.
How ‘bout we start an ethics investigation about McConnell’s sexual past from decades ago?
McConnell better not write checks that his ass can’t cash.

If Moore is ejected from the Senate, Alabama should leave the Union. Again.

He should be very worried about his cushy ‘leadership’ job, he should be voted out of that after the next election when the republicans take a bigger majority in the senate, MAYBE THEN they will pass some of President Trumps agenda.
I hope EVERY member of congress who isn’t 100% behind President Trump has a primary opponent who Trump ENDORSES (if they’re good) instead of being stupid and endorsing the incumbents or establishment choice like he did against Judge Moore.
What would be interesting is if somehow Senator Moore is handed the list of sexual harassment payoff and reads it in front of the committee. I’m betting more than a spree in that group will be called out. If not, the forces crushing the corrupt of late might hand him a list of other known crimes. Let’s see how long the committee and members last then...

I swear to GOD I know it’s a sin, but I really am going to relish the day many of these old criminals suffer massive strokes.....

If these a-holes in Congress are SERIOUS about maintaining the non-existent integrity of Congress, they will INSIST that anyone resigning in disgrace be denied any and all future financial compensation after they are gone.
