Hopefully Senate Republicans will be prepared for it, too. This leftover from yesterday will take on additional importance if Al Franken resigns tomorrow. Democrats clean up their messes while Republicans get theirs elected will be the cry from the media, ignoring their 25-year record of covering for Bill Clinton’s sexual predation and their efforts to get him back in the White House via Hillary.
But still, that doesn’t mean Republicans won’t have to answer for Moore, and that the need will become more acute if Franken hits the bricks:
The Senate Ethics Committee will immediately launch an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct against retired judge Roy Moore if the Republican Senate candidate wins a special election in Alabama next week.
Moore, projected in most public opinion polls to narrowly defeat Democratic attorney Doug Jones, would likely be called to testify under oath.

McConnell needs to be prepared for his own demise. Senator Moore will take the fight to this 5th columnist.
I can’t see how this is simply going to have an “aw shucks” type end to it. This is probably not too dissimilar from the old guard of the Soviet regime trying to hold on but could not stand up against the far larger and stronger forces that were exposing it’s corruption and contradictions.

Mcconnell ... need to get him in a room and get some facts in his brain... he being part of the establishment that was outvoted last election.. is not wanted in Washington.. and he doesn’t have to worry about any 40+ years accusations... mcconnell has too many to answer for himself and we voters will take him out .. Bannon has already started the process.
NEVER has there been such corruption as has been under the established entrenched washingtonians.. and they set themselves up as judge and jury! They do not have the kingship to do so.
Moore isn’t guilty of anything unless he is found guilty by a jury. 2ndly these allegations predate Moore being elected to be a senator by 40 years. The committee therefore has no authority.
All the undocumented Democrats in R jerseys need a good probe.

He knows the facts. The only one that matters to him is that Moore is a vote against him.
“Mitt” McConell will be way too busy dealkng with what to do with appointed senator Keith Ellison el a muslim enemy of America. This and the fact that there are no grounds make me ask if this is maybe gake news.
