The mystery over the attack on Rand Paul deepens
CNN ^ | November 22, 2017 | Chris Cillizza

Posted on 11/25/2017 2:55:30 PM PST by iowamark

It's been 19 days since Rand Paul was attacked by a neighbor while mowing his lawn. And on Wednesday, the story got even stranger as the wife of the Kentucky Republican Senator wrote a piece for CNN detailing the extent of the injuries he suffered in the attack.

"There have been several nights where I had my hand on my phone ready to call 911 when his breathing became so labored it was terrifying," writes Kelley Paul of her husband.

What's even more striking is how Kelley Paul describes the attack -- and the motive behind it...

In the immediate aftermath of the Nov. 3 attack at Paul's home in Kentucky, several neighbors spoke out to CNN and other national news sites, insisting that it was the boiling point of a long-running dispute over flora and fauna. "A neighbor who did not want to be identified said the two have been 'quibbling' over yard waste for years," CNN wrote on Nov. 7. A statement by a lawyer for Rene Boucher, the man who tackled Paul, seemed to affirm that story...

So, what the heck actually happened -- and more importantly why? Why would someone who had been a longtime neighbor of Paul's suddenly snap and inflict serious damage on him? Why is there so much effort to push totally contradictory explanations of the incident and what motivated it? We are dealing with a US Senator who was viciously attacked at his home. Boucher pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor assault earlier this month, making it more likely there will be a trial at which we may finally get this mystery solved.

What gives? What really happened? How do we not know this yet?

*sigh* I try not to think about it...it makes me fume, but you’re right. It’s not that the media doesn’t care. Worse. They immediately set the stage to hijack and sabotage the narrative. First they diminish its physical severity by claiming it was a petty neighborly dispute. But above all, they insult his good character by even entertaining such the preposterous idea that he’d start or partake in such a scuffle.

Rand Paul is one of the most upright men working in government today. He still mows his own damn lawn for crying out loud. This is a man who gave eye surgeries pro-bono to needy patients.

He is often placed in the most thankless predicaments: defending positions both parties don’t find popular (I don’t even agree with him sometimes) or wanting to reach across the aisle to achieve honorable things like prison reform.

He is a godly man, with a godly family, and one of President Trump’s most reliable partners while also not being a mere “yes-man.” We need him and more like him in power today.

Despicable that the media will allow such lies to spread while also up-keeping the careers of perverts and rapists at the highest echelons of power, who are thankfully being brought down and exposed by the grace of God. (and bringing all their aid-ers and abetters with them!)

“One thing is certain, the truth is not to be found on CNN so why post their site and advertise for them?”

Exactly! Why do we keep posting links to the Enemedia? To help them with their Ad revenues?

Attempted assassination of a Senator.

There should be some federal law that covers that.

Someone wake up AG Sessions.

I agree with others that this should be a felony.

I'm curious about what happened after Boucher tackled Paul. Did Boucher apologize? Did Boucher try to help Paul? Did Boucher run away?

Well, in the meantime, please vote for the "Not a DemonRat".

If we fail, Article V will not be an option for we will embroiled in civil warfare.

Oh, Sessions, where are you? Won’t you even step up to the plate and do the right thing for your former colleague?

As far as I know, Rand isn’t Russian, nor is he related to Hillary!

Yoo-hoo, Jeff, where are you?

For us older folks, I can hear the theme song “Car 54, Where are You?”!

The press will always have you believe that violence perpetrated by Leftists is never political. They are corrupt liars.

As I’ve said in prior posts: man of the year is Ronan Farrow for breaking the Weinstein story and showing all the faux journalists and moral cowards in the media what real journalism is.

Indeed prayers for REAL JUSTICE for Rand Paul attacker!

Apparently, a hip hop station - yes a hip hop station in L.A. polled their listeners about whether Colin Kaepernick should be “Man of the Year” and reactions were like: “Um. No. He didn’t do anything. Give it to someone actually making sacrifices.” People suggested figures who were on the ground helping Hurricane victims please or donating millions to do so. and another commenter said: “GQ is has-been magazine anyway.”

The civil suit is what will “kill” the aggressor, not the criminal charge ... would love to be on the civil jury.

The question is why isn’t Paul taking this asshat to the legal woodshed? and why is the media underplaying the story?
