Does anyone believe that all 46 votes on healthcare truly want repeal? Ponder this, what if the game plan is to put 3 or 4 out to pasture to cover for others. Basically a repeat of voting 60 times to repeal knowing it would never happen. If this isn't the case and 46 are hell bent to follow through, why aren't all 46 publicly pressuring the 3 or 4 holdouts? Doesn't make sense not to fight assuming that's what you REALLY want. I contend there are several McCains and they assume that they can hold their seats long enough to wait out Trump's term. Think about it.....I believe very few of them have any interest in touching healthcare ever!
This has been brought up before.
Duh
My apologies, I posted this in the wrong forum....sorry.
I don’t think any of them want repeal, including the president.
You are pointing out the obvious, of course.
It is no surprise that the terminally ill Senator from Arizona is single handedly allowing the remaining GOP Senators to vote the way their electorate wants them to and assuring their deep pocket donors repeal will not pass.
I always want to know how they’ll vote if they’re the tie breaker.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Frankly, there’s no sign any of them are on our side. Cotton maybe? who knows
You’re forgetting the obvious signs the establishment has given us proving they’re against Trump.
Duh
One reason I’d like to see him out is partly to shed some light on who some of those may be.
Of course, Rand doesn’t help.
Rand will vote for a clean repeal. How is he the problem when everyone of the GOP Senators with the exception of Collins promised to repeal Obamacare?
If the GOP wanted this to pass they would already have stripped Collins, McCain and Murkowski of any leadership role on any committee. This is a con job led by McConnell. McCain agreed to be the “deciding vote” as he hates Trump, and will never have to run for re-election. If it wasn’t him then someone else would have been put forward.
Rand is not “the” problem. However, in the end he may go down in history as his father: Yep, he was right, but he never got anything accomplished other than to always be the loyal opposition.
Politics really is supposed to be a team sport, but so far Rand and the democrats are not being “team america” players, though for different reasons.
All this being said, I find I’m liking what Rand is doing more and more. We need a clean repeal, and nothing else will do. Period. Let ‘er burn.
The Dems are very practiced in this technique. Sad to see the GOPe pulling the same tricks badly.
It’s easy to tell the hidden RINOs: Is Mitch spending money electing them? If so Primary them!
