You beat me to it! Lacrosse is a great sport, lots of action and enjoyable to watch.

How about making NFL Ratings a sport? Oddsmakers can set a “score” (ratings, viewers, attendance, etc) for each team this week. As well as decrease for that team from last week and decrease from the same week last year.
Cowboys 6.5 -2.5 -4
Steelers 4.5 -5 -9.5
...
Also let us bet on network viewers. Fox 1PM -3.5, MNL -10, etc.
If they could come up with a score for “NFL announcer suckiness” it would probably be the most popular bet. I’m not sure they can measure how much sideline reporters suck, but it’s another option - they may be able to get people wanting to find the youtube Monday morning where the announcers “Go down to Suzie on the sideline to see how the wide receiver’s hangnail is holding up”.
If not that, I’d like to see Alabama and 31 other college teams admit they are pro, start paying players, and start playing Sunday while the amateurs keep Saturday. Those schools could probably add an amateur team that plays on Saturdays too and other schools would be able to compete with.

There is America’s game... and their is the World’s game, last 3 World Cup champions, Germany, Spain, Italy.
But we’ve got baseball too.
Athletes may make a run at these other sports but with football and basketball; you have the majority of players being blacks. And it’s probably just a small portion of these African Americans who are being rabble rousers but I don’t think we will see this happen in sports where there is not such an overwhelming amount of African Americans in the sport.
That one guy did it at the baseball game; but it looked like a joke when he did; MLB teams play 162 games each.. that’s a lot of national anthems to be trying this at. I don’t think they can get away with it.

How about forcing the NBA and NFL to play football...without padding...wearing only pussy hats for headgear!

Too bad the players (too bad for them) that they are are messing with this now. It was Trump who wanted a non franchise team the ny generals but the NFL monopoly shut him out

I would vote for lacrosse if we must have a meaningless game. But our real new national sport needs to be practical shooting sports: IPDA, 3-gun, etc. we need to start training hands and minds for the civil war.
I have gone home to college football. How football ought to be played.
Nothing like the pinching and groping in the scrum.
No pads or helmets, so getting hit and hitting someone hurts both the hittor and the hittee.

Years ago I had season tickets to the Rochester Knighthawks (pro indoor lacrosse), what a blast. Far more entertaining than NFL.
I look forward to when Boston in the October baseball.
