I was wondering when they would get around to bitcoin. Sidestepping the globalists bank credit cards was too good to be true.

“If you can’t stand in front of something and protect it with a gun, it was never really yours to begin with.”

To horribly misquote a great passage, or in some similar verbiage.

Electronic bits mean nothing.

It shouldn't surprise us, after 911 the Bush administration instead of sealing the borders and kicking out everybody who was here illegally basically argued that “since we lots of people here illegally, we need to track you”, hence the Patriot Act....

I was in the middle of reading the article when all of a sudden something irrelevant to the article took over the screen at the site.

When I clicked on “return to the site” I was returned to something someplace other than where I was literally kidnapped from, so I left the site, and refuse to go back.

Advertiser abuse is as out of control as is the abuse of the Left.

The question to ask the big government statists is “Do you want a war? Because that’s how you get a a war.”

should you fail to report funds when traveling with over $10,000

Traveling with knowledge of a random number is now illegal. The private key is nothing more than a random number, granted too long to memorize. But you can have some third party store your private keys (generally bad idea) and log in to spend your Bitcoin. But many Bitcoiners hold Bitcoins at an exchange so they can be easily converted into currency of choice. Traveling, with knowledge of the password to your account at an exchange with $10k in it would be illegal.

Another possibility is a deterministic wallet in which the private keys are generated from an easier to remember passphrase. The traveler need not have anything on their person, no wallet, no wallet software, but only knowledge of the passphrase to generate the private keys. Traveling with knowledge of a passphrase with more than 4 bitcoin (at current market value) attached to the private keys would be illegal.

The only way you would not have these assets confiscated would be to declare possession of such information every time, every trip.

It is impossible to have a free country without a stable population that respects the rule of law. Globally, the not-so-invisible-anymore hand is causing chaos. The result is that people need more laws, more supervision, and are stripped of freedom. Freedom happened when defined nation-states came into being. Globalism is part of the ugly plan to enslave and have living in fear 99% of the population.

Cash and barter are freedom from being tracked and freedom to engage in activities privately. It won't be long, probably not long after our generation (pre Baby Boomers) is gone that the goal is to turn the globe into a cashless, totally monitored situation where people live in constant fear.

Yeah, I really believe that.

The Democrat Party controls Congress. The Republican Party has the most members, but they allow the Democrats call the shots[ Control what Congress does, or doesn’t do]

As in this case. Since the bill was introduced by Sen. Grassley!?!

In reality, they all one and the same. They use the names Democrat and Republican because by law we are a two Party system. If they united, it would open the door to a real Political Party

Thanks for naming the sponsor. I did not know that, but it does not surprise me.

Once it’s NO cash, then they do the following:
1. Take 1% of amounts over 5 million. Two years later, 3 million. 2 years later 1 million. See where that’s going? That’s TAKE, as in confiscate. Seize. Already done in Europe.
2. Put a .01% tax on all transactions. One one-hundredth of a cent on a dollar. Two years later it’s .1%. Two years later 1%. See where that’s going?
3. Take taxes directly out of accounts. (See #4.)
4. Put welfare money for non-Whites and m*slims directly into their EBT accounts. (See #3.)
5. Upon the owner’s death, decide how much the “State” wants, and take it.
6. None of the above shall apply to the ruling elite, who will have an inflation-adjusted stipend placed directly into their accounts.

The crappy moozlums are having great success in corroding our freedoms. They have many traitors in our government and in our population who help them under the guise of “security”. What BS.

Fake news. No names attached to it. Republicans wouldn’t touch this - not even McAmnesty - and what the Democrats do or say means nothing.

Even if I had that much money (which I probably never will), I would never register it with any institution. In that case, the gubermint can kiss my pop tarts.

Not surprising at all - no one here railed against Congress / the Obama Admins persecution of all ex-pats by essentially forcing foreign banks to report all of our assets.

Now it affects you too.
