As Atlanta prepares for leaders from the National Rifle Association (NRA) to descend on the city for its annual meeting, volunteers for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America are also arriving from across the country. For the fourth year in a row, moms, women, gun violence survivors, elected leaders and everyday Americans will show up and speak out as a counterweight to the nation’s largest gun lobby.

While NRA leaders deliver a desolate message of fear and paranoia to convention-goers, Moms Demand Action wants leaders in corporate boardrooms, in statehouses, in Congress and in the White House to know that we will never stop fighting for a safer America for our children and families.

if the NRA were smart- they’d get together a group of moms and wives who were SAVED from certain death by the use of firearms- a group of women and children so large that it dwarfs the group altogether- not to make light of the mothers who lost children due to gun violence, but to spotlight the fact that farm ore people have been saved by the use of a gun than have been murdered by some criminal with a gun- We don’t hear about all the cases of folks saved by the use of guns because the msm have an blatant anti-gun agenda-

What part of "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" do the gun banners NOT understand.

The bill of rights were NOT written to tell the Feds what they could do - it was what the FEDS could NOT do. Makes no difference how you want to interpret the part about "well regulated Militia" - and I would argue the entire population in 1770s were part of the militia - the BILL OF RIGHTS are just that, the RIGHTS OF THE PEOPLE, not the FEDS.

Moms Demand Action? Yah Right. If they are telling the truth, don’t bother those who adhere to the 2nd Amendment, and follow the various state laws regarding the LEGALITY of gun ownership. How many shootings were committed by the attendees at an NRA convention?
MDA should maybe stage the protest against gun violence where gun violence is already running rampant. How about the streets of Chicago, Baltimore, New York, and other areas where the sounds of gunfire are as “normal” as the chirping of birds.
It is tragically rare that any organized protest against gun violence take place where is actually occurs. Doesn’t anyone out there give a damn?
