A geology professor at Pomona College says she will prioritize students of color, immigrants, and low-income students for enrollment in a class with a strict 15-student cap.
A flyer advertising the course on “Southern California Earthquakes and Water,” an introductory geological science class with a particular focus on “the particular geologic challenges” of Southern California, expresses a particular desire for “students from a range of backgrounds whose varied perspectives will contribute to the course.”

Funniest sitcom on TV since Friends or Cheers. The wife and I watch the reruns and always find something new in the reactions of the group to laugh at. The deadpan, quizzical, pitiful, and smirking facial expressions are what makes it so funny. Then you have something so unfunny as 2 Broke Girls that I'm amazed it's still on air.
How does a "range of backgrounds" contribute to the course. Did I miss something ? I didn't know there was a White geology, a Black geology, or an Hispanic geology. I guess earthquakes in Southern California decide whether or not an area is diverse enough before they hit that area.
Well in this professor's case, they may just be "rock monkeys" according to Sheldon.
