The family of an illegal immigrant arrested during a recent roundup of criminal aliens seems shocked that immigration laws are being enforced. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested Miguel Angel Torres, an illegal immigrant living in Austin, Texas, for the past fourteen years, during the recent Operation Cross Check roundup of criminal aliens. It appears immigration officers arrested Torres while they were looking for his brother-in-law, a previously deported illegal alien, the Texas Tribune reported.
[My husband] is a person whos never done anything wrong and who complies with the law, Irma Perez, the wife of the illegal immigrant, told the Texas news outlet. We dont know why they detained him. He was driving his own car, not my brothers. He has nothing to do with my brother.
Texas law does not allow a person who does not have legal status in the U.S. to obtain a driver license or legally operate a motor vehicle.

Yep. That is one of the results when ‘cafeteria enforcement’ of laws is the policy.
“It appears immigration officers arrested Torres while they were looking for his brother-in-law, a previously deported illegal alien...”
It was an “extra credit” day for the ICE officers.
It will only end when employers face penalties that exceed their savings from the cheap labor express. Put a few corporate officers who are the large employers in jail, and it will stop muy rapido.
People need to stand up and denounce those masquerading as respectable executives who are truly vultures feasting on the corpses of companies built on American values. The conspiracy of silence is self-inflicted—everyone knows these employers are breaking the law, but people don’t want to lose the crumbs these modern-day slavers leave behind.
The lamentations of Irma Perez will stoke the fear
Lamentations and gnashing of teeth are going to be the new order
ICE agents should be allowed to strap captured foreign national interlopers to the hood and parade them around.
Indeed. We have to amplify that fear any way we can.
Serial killers don’t like the death penalty either.
Not only going to cost votes, but with redistricting, it’ll cost them Congressional seats.
NTOWY
You just nailed the problem with these Illegal Invaders. They have an unjustified sense of entitlement and being catered to to the point where they now believe that they are above the law.
Fuck them!
The sooner that we remove them from our midst, the better.
Add to that list "or provide government benefits". EVerify exists. Notice that the fake-Republican DC crowd isn't talking about EVerify anymore, now that they know it would be enforced by this President.
I would have no trouble with allowing the DACA agreements already signed, providing that the conditions are strictly enforced. One of those conditions is that they have an agreed-to deadline by which they will leave the US. Just don’t issue any new ones!
Which is the case in many Latin American banana republics where these illegals come from.
They think that is just a sick bird.
I feel about as sorry for these criminals as I do for a thief fearing capture and prison.
If you enforce the laws, loudly and publicly, while you may not get all of the millions out you will see the influx decline as they begin to realize its not the cakewalk its been for decades.
Just enforce the laws, the 8 years of Obama lawlessness are over.
Evident every day with drugs, as it is with illegals. Drugs will always enter the US, regardless of enforcement, unless there is a sea change of the population to stop buying and using illegal drugs.
These arrests won’t make a dent in the invading force of illegal aliens. However, with the enforcement of immigration laws, they will deport themselves, at least a percentage of them.
"How is that NOT Voter Fraud?"
Exactly right, which is why allowing the ‘salad bowl’ liberal concept is so destructive.
I don’t mind if someone appreciates and celebrates their own cultural underpinnings, but that banana republic mentality is part and parcel.
We need to make clear, we are different here, we don’t want that, and if you want to come here legally, you are going to leave all that behind.
Great idea.. I like it..
So let it be written, so let it be done..!
