Political appointees whose services are no longer needed. Media trying to spin this as “they quit” - fake news.

I learned about the separate political agenda of the State Department fifty years ago from my parents. Perhaps things will be different now.

I am betting that the academic swamp will start draining, too. I’m willing to wait a while on that. I’m glad we’re starting with the DC swamp.
Woohoo!

A very good start. The State Department is suppose to have professionals, that implement policy and advise the nation's elected leaders, not dictate policy.
My personal feeling is that far too many have gotten “involved” with the identity of the local politicians they deal with and want to prop up the existing governments rather than influence the Countries and assist US business and tourist interests.
Again, they can be replaced. Fresh blood is good with a regime change in WA DC.

We should reallocate the $221,000,000.00 that was designated for the Palestinian terrorist to the border wall with Mexico! The sign should read Brought to you courtesy of Obungo and Kerry!

“I am betting that the academic swamp will start draining, too.”
Academia feels entitled to their pay, status and benefits. They are unlikely to quit on their own. What we have to do is turn off the money tap for courses that do not lead to an employable skill. We have to stop students from being required to spend a percentage of their money on “Masturbation 101, Black Studies, and Underwater Basket weaving.” It’s fine if people want to take those courses. It is not fine that us taxpayers have to pay the bill when there is almost zero possibility the loan will ever be paid back.

I failed Masturbation 101 when I was caught organizing a study group

Unfortunately the thousands of communists in lower level positions, an infestation since the 40’s, still hasn't been addressed.

With Trump’s win, the Dyke was broken. Of course the swamp is draining out now.

Upon reading the article, together with the CNN update, it would appear that the Washington Post was publishing more “fake” news. No surprise there.
So, instead of a rebellion against Trump within the senior levels at State, we now have Trump deciding he wants to put his own people in there so he accepted their resignations which they tendered as required at the beginning of any administration because they serve at the President’s pleasure.
The original version: Senior State management rebels against Trump.
The corrected version: Trump replaces senior management at State.
This is what we’re up against. Blatant lying by the press to make Trump look bad.
