Good.

We can replace them with competent people. :)

“Diplomatic security, consular affairs, there’s just not a corollary that exists outside the department, and you at least can afford a learning curve in these areas where issues can quickly become matters of life and death,” he said. “The muscle memory is critical. These retirements are a big loss. They leave a void. These are very difficult people to replace.”

OK, so we have complicated bureaucracies and life-and-death decisions. Easy-peasy: just hire people who have run large hospitals, police departments or fire departments.

Hopefully, Islam-loving Arabists will leave, too.

Update:

Update: according to a CNN report - so as always take with lots of salt - the story has shifted materially, because according to two senior administration officials, it wasn't a resignation by the State Department officials, but more of a termination: "the Trump administration told four top State Department management officials that their services were no longer needed as part of an effort to "clean house" at Foggy Bottom."

PING!

The swamp draining itself!

Keep their forwarding address as it will be needed for the arrests and indictments that will be coming up. Remember, strange things like $6 Billion went missing while Hillary was Secretary.

With Hussein and Hillary running the show, the money likely went to his Muslim buddies. Those treasonous actions probably has a long list of co-conspirators.

Their departure is good, the manner of their departure is unprofessional.

It's proper etiquette for those friggin' amateurs! Self cleansing of the State Dept.!

State has NOT been cleaned out; before that can be said you have to get rid of all ambassadors, station chiefs, and all credentialed state department officials down to the janitor level.
Dept. of State has been a snake pit since 1914.

Letters of resignation for Presidential appointees are automatic. Those resignations are not always ACCEPTED by the new administration and sometimes they are asked to stay on permanently or at least until their replacements are confirmed by the Senate.

Trump accepted those resignations immediately because he’d rather clean house as soon as possible and let their deputies handle things in the interim.

I think he should do this everywhere, and then when the new heads are confirmed, he should move these interim career staffers to other duties so at least the top three levels of management have been replaced with his people. I hope checking election campaign contributions is one of the criteria for deciding who can remain in positions of any responsibility at all.

This house cleaning in the State Department is a rather refreshing development indeed. So many slithering snakes in the grass employed by that org.. And people like Patrick Kennedy stand out as being top snake.
