President-elect Donald Trump met on Wednesday with the chief executives of Boeing Co. and Lockheed Martin Corp., the nations two largest defense contractors, two weeks after he started publicly berating the cost of some of their military projects.
The meetings with Boeings Dennis Muilenburg and Lockheeds Marillyn Hewson were held at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla., where Mr. Trump is staying for the Christmas holiday.
Mr. Muilenburg previously spoke to Mr. Trump via telephone on Dec. 6, shortly after the president-elect threatened to cancel future contracts for the planes Boeing is building that will serve as the future Air Force One, citing a cost of $4 billion.
Were going to get it done for less than that, and were committed to working together to make sure that happens, Mr. Muilenburg told reporters after the meeting.
Ms. Hewson later met with Mr. Trump, 10 days after the president-elect wrote on Twitter that the cost of stealthy F-35 jets built by Lockheed were out of control and that billions of dollars can and will be saved on military [and other] purchases.

Hope Hicks would be my guess. He had her on stage for his Victory Tour inAlabama.
Meeting at Mar-a-Largo or his fabulous Trump Tower gives Trump a certain negotiating advantage. We’ve never had this edge before in government service.
Trump leads our government, but also knows enough about commerce, financial, and running a large organization that business leaders can’t fake it or blow smoke at Trump’s wishes.
Going after waste, fraud and abuse. Love it.
If Trump keeps this up he’s going to be the most significant conservative president in our history. And you know what? That’s his goal, and he has an action plan to achieve just that.
“And Pentagon knew it.”
And the Pentagon SIGNED OFF on it.
“Probably if it wasn’t a US DOD requirement it wouldn’t even be possible to offshore much of this production because of export controls laws. “
Yup. And with those same export laws the COST of developing the plane is much higher with parts of it made overseas. The idea was to split the costs with the other customers. Did it work? No idea without looking at their books. But I doubt it.
It was a blessing that he was lazy.
Quite frankly, Lockheed could stop charging the DOD for anything/everything for the F35, and it would STILL be a ripoff.

Good for Donald. He’s bringing these guys to the table to cut some deals and cut some costs. That’s what he’s done all his life.
Can you imagine if Hillary had won? She’d be meeting with BLM activists, CAIR representatives, tranny pole smokers and other assorted fruitcakes.
Boeing officials probably peeing their pants that Trump will cancel the Iranian deal.
Yep. How many DOD civilians and servicemembers massaged it along for their own post-Pentagon career benefit?
Correction: Congress signed off on it.
Good gracious, how much more of this can we take? :-)
Anyone remember what Obama was doing during this period after he won (used loosely) his first election ?

I do. He was illegally appointing his Czars.
Van Jones, Cass Sustein, and that faggot Kevin Jennings the Safe School Czar. And many others.
(shudder)
I would LOVE to have a job like that.... however, I'm too old, male, and not anywhere near that good looking!!!
This is what a leader does.
Not only is Barrack out playing golf while Trump is working for the country, Obama is singing new executive that will cost the country upwards of $6 billion according to the other post. January 20th cannot come fast enough.
Dennis Muilenburg doesn’t look happy. That’s probably good news for the consumer.
Just look at all those goofballs standing behind the #Won Goofball.
I like to believe America will look back on the “ObeyMe Years” the way we look back on 1970’s fashion; to wit, “OMG, did we really do that?!?!”
