How Hillary Lost Michigan: Laugh out Loud Worthy
American Spectator ^ | December 14, 2016, 9:37 am | MELISSA MACKENZIE

Hillary Clinton wants to blame the Russians for her loss. It’s easy to see why...

a week-and-a-half out, the Service Employees International Union started hearing anxiety out of Michigan [and] union officials decided to reroute their volunteers...

Turn that bus around, the Clinton team ordered SEIU. Those volunteers needed to stay in Iowa to fool Donald Trump into competing there, not drive to Michigan, where the Democrat’s models projected a 5-point win through the morning of Election Day...

Michigan operatives relay stories like one about an older woman in Flint who showed up at a Clinton campaign office, asking for a lawn sign and offering to canvass, being told these were not “scientifically” significant ways of increasing the vote, and leaving, never to return. A crew of building trade workers showed up at another office looking to canvass, but, confused after being told there was no literature to hand out like in most campaigns, also left and never looked back...

If that doesn’t warm the cockles of your heart, nothing will....

Exit question: Did Hillary’s team count on voter fraud in Detroit to win the election? Is that why they didn’t bother?

Too many of these websites have pop-ups that make my computer freeze up. I can’t read the article.

Many of the excuses given for Hitlery losing centers around her poor campaigning.

To me, there is something REALLY BIG BEING MISSED.

What’s missed is how unearthly crooked she is. She’s a criminal, she’s greedy, she’s power hungry, and she’s about as much of a lunatic as Hitler was. Probably worse.

I find it bothersome this is not brought out into the forefront more often.

I’m hoping The Donald is just visibly focusing on building his new administration, but in the background is figuring out how to get his bitch in jail.

I was thinking about that but I disagree. I think the first poster who said they started believing their own BS was spot on!

I have the same issue, particularly with Gatewaypundit.

Last night at the Trump rally in WI the huge crowd repeatedly chanted “lock her up”.

Trump smiled, he heard what We The People want, and what he promised.

What arrogance.

I thought every serious campaign had internal polling ... how else can they see how far off their “independent” polling for public consumption is?

We all noted that here. Trump went gangbusters doing rallies almost every day. H for whatever reason would be nowhere to be seen for days before making an appearance before smallish crowds. If it was her health she shouldn’t have been running in the first place. If it was arrogance or laziness or whatever reason it cost her.

Trump I felt was having the time of his life doing the rallies. I think he missed them after the election so we now get a thank you tour. Not sure but it wouldn’t surprise me once he is President we will see a few more but less since he has a lot of work to do ahead besides rallies.

“The Chinese community, the spokespeople said, had/have such a problem with gambling that a casino so close to home would be a disaster for them and their families”

More likely it would cut in to their businesses. Ever see all those Chinese restaurants that never seem to have customers yet stay in business year after year?

It’s exactly like the spouse being cheated on is the last to know. RATS couldn’t bear their former voters leaving them for Trump, and were the last to know.

Weird how that obese slob Michael Moore knew she could lose Michigan and yet the Clinton team were so throughly clueless...

Can’t argue that they believe their own BS.. Hillary did, anyway and she overrode Bill and the others with more experience. What a harpy she must be.

Well, in fairness, how much internal polling did Trump do? Last night in WI he told the story again and said specifically they didn’t do polling because the newspapers do it for free and put the results out for everyone to see. Maybe he was just spinning a tale, but I think the Clintonistas believed the public polls which were tilted way in her favor while Trump gave them less credence and just hammered on with his message up to 6 times a day.

One candidate worked his ass off, the other one napped, thinking she had it wrapped-up.

Isn’t there a folk story that goes like this?

So the Clinton campaign leadership in New York City was making decisions about the ground game in places like Iowa and Michigan.

That's how you end up with an election map that looks like this:

this will become the model for future polling/surveying, replacing the flawed and easily-manipulated conventional polls.
Well, as Scott Adams noted, journalism is persuasion. The polls that proved to be biased toward Hillary were intended to persuade the rubes that it wasn’t worth the bother to vote against her.

If LS is correct that herself believed them, that is just one more reason why she should not be POTUS. Because, if so, she is much more of a “rube” herself than she would ever admit to herself. She shouldn’t be surprised;

The natural disposition is always to believe. It is acquired wisdom and experience only that teach incredulity, and they very seldom teach it enough. The wisest and most cautious of us all frequently gives credit to stories which he himself is afterwards both ashamed and astonished that he could possibly think of believing.  Adam Smith, Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759)

Richard Baris’s People’s Pundit Daily (PPD) poll was the most accurate of this cycle, with Hillary at 1.3%, but he told me in the days leading up to the election that his state polling showed Trump ahead in MI and PA in the last two days of polling he took in those states. He also “called” FL and PA almost 1 hour before the nets (FL) and 3 hours before the nets (PA).
