During a Wall Street Journal Future of Cybersecurity breakfast, former NSA director Michael Hayden suggested banning whole categories of guns “might” need to be part of America’s “counterterrrorism discussion” going forward.
He specifically referenced the June 12 Orlando Pulse terror attack and suggested there “might be some guns out there that nobody should be able to buy.”

It never ceases to amaze me that some military officers have such a poor understanding of/regard for the constitution they solemnly swore to uphold.
Hayden is one of the slimiest creatures in the Swamp. Drain him.
Besides, they were written by old white slave owners so that makes them unimportant/invalid. Right?

We need to repeal the Gun Control Act, the National Firearms Act, and the Hughes Amendment as part of our counterterrorism efforts. If it saves even one life, it's worth it. Do it for the children ... it's a good first step toward reasonable gun laws.

Making the purchase illegal means that no one but law enforcement will be able to buy them legally. The illegal sales will go on as always.
Their goal is to take guns from the law-abiding non-violent citizens and leave them in the hands of violent criminals.
Hayden’s oath to support the US Constitution must have expired when he retired. Not!
A better option would be national open carry.
I remember an old MAD MAGAZINE cartoon from the 1960s, in which FDR is bowing to the emperor of Japan, and apologizing for American ships in Pearl Harbor blowing up and hurting the ears of Japanese pilots flying overhead.

First they ONLY wanted to register handguns. Rifles would not be included!
Then they demanded registration of ALL guns.
Then came a call to ban ONLY foreign made small handguns, and register all others.
Then the call to ban American made small handguns.
Then the call to ban ALL handguns. Rifles were A-OK!
Then came the call to ban semi-auto rifles.
Now sniper (hunting) rifles are up for grabs.
Can anyone tell what positive intelligence NSA or CIA has provided in the last 30 years? They seems to not forsee every major terror attack, missed the fall of the USSR...
