I carried a rape whistle for a couple of years back when I was twenty something. Now I just carry if you know what I mean. Also they told us to always check in the back seat of the car we were getting into. I have a sports car.... no back seat.

Have you notice, those in power tender these silly programs while they have guns, arned guards and walled villas? Yes, Im sure youve noticed that. Whats odd is the populace seem to go along with these silly things, as if they were a serious and credible solution to the problem.

Tennis shoes do little good on a subway. Belly guns however, really work well in this environment. When I say “belly” I mean his belly, not yours.

use the whistles to scare off harassers

Remember when auto alarms first came on the scene and everybody had to have one? They were being set off so often that nobody other than the owner paid any attention to them....unless you parked next to one that was blaring away and the noise pissed you off....

Now a days you don't even hear them anymore.

I also always carry a rosary and usually say it on the rare occasions I find myself on a subway. Last time was in Prague which was scary.

Sorry you have had to put up with all of this.

I had a conversation with my daughter and a couple of her friends recently. And they concluded that I don’t know what it’s like to be a girl. One of the girls said she gets hassled by men all the time, and I had to concede that I have never been so hassled by women, when I’m out in public, just going about my business.

Not to excuse the boorish behavior of some men. I don’t know if that behavior is worse nowadays than before. As noted, as a man, I would never have experienced being a woman and being the target of unwanted attention from men.

Bur the media says they’re just “dreamers”! Of course, maybe that’s what they’re dreaming of - committing rape.

I have not had to suffer much “hassle” from men over the years. I never dressed provocatively. I took care not to go sketchy places or wander around alone at night. I only occasionally got drunk and then not falling down drunk.

So I do acknowledge that there are women who are assaulted in one fashion or another but I think a lot of women could avoid it. For example there was a woman on Hannity the other day who was telling her story of being a cub reporter in a small station in Ark when BClinton was gov. Evidently he cornered her in a small room twice and rubbed on her until... you know - twice this happened. Now once, maybe - but twice???? I’m not saying she liked it but I would have been screaming bloody murder!!! And pushing and hitting and anything short of that would have only been because I was unconscious.

Whistle? No way. Carry one of these:

Easy to operate: Insert, twist, remove. Run.

Too bad she didn’t fight back. She probably could have gotten away with killing a governor.

Mexico's crime is endemic. NO ONE cares about the poor slobs going to work.

Now if one of the wealthy powerful family members suffered such an attack, there would be la policia on EVERY rain in EVERY car.

But, that is Mexico. We know that.

I was NEVER stupid enough to go to SOME parts of town.
I was NEVER stupid enough to NOT defend myself. Hah, I smashed plenty of men south of the border for touching me. Once I nailed a bicycle rider with my umbrella...BANG!!
TWICE I kicked guys on the shin with my boot one time and an oxford school shoe anther time. MY FATHER taught me to defend myself.
He also taught me to make a REAL fist.
It was ALWAYS dumb to dress provocatively.

I remember a time when Russians were first here in my city. The women wore see-through blouses and very short skirts, deliberately dressing provocatively. Dumb.

.

I miss my daddy still.
