One time was Easter Sunday, either just before or just after Bubba went to church clutching his prop Bible.

And the fact that Monica wasn’t pushing up daisies that year is due to Linda Tripp telling her to keep the dress for evidence. Tripp knew how the Clinton Machine operated. She knew that her friend’s name would end up on one of two lists: (1) The Clinton Body Count, or (2) the “Nuts And Sluts” list with Flowers, Broaddrick, Jones, etc.
Yes, she was still very much a child. She was in effect put in a horrible position.
Either give sex or watch your life’s dream go bye-bye.
She was a teen White House Intern, an incredibly prestigious resume enhancer that assured her of an opportunity for a future high-profile career.
Her position likely brought approving nods from her family and friends. She could pick and choose what university to finish at or what grad school or law school to attend. She may not have been qualified to finish but she would have had doors opened for her.
In fact, she was undeserving of a prestigious White House internship having been awarded one via efforts of family connections. She was innocent but not all of her family members were.
But a 19-year old girl is still a teen, not far removed from childhood and one day she finds herself looked upon by the most powerful man in the world to whom she must submit herself sexually in private. The alternative is to be publically humiliated by having lost her prestigious position and future on some unjust pretext such as ‘incompetence’, ‘poor work ethic or attitude’, etc.
The young kid took a chance that what she was prodded to do would never be known to anyone. She kept the blue dress because it would serve to remind her of a decision she was forced to make that would define her life and future. She may have cried when looking at that dress as the memory would overwhelm her. Keeping the blue dress showed she had a conscience or at least a symbolic memory of her shattered innocence.
Monica may or may not deserve our sympathy but no child, no person, should ever be put in such a horrible disgusting situation. What is even more disgusting is Bill Clinton is still standing in the public limelight with his lecherous character ready to grab power yet again.
I knew of a man who divorced his short, frumpy wife to marry his younger, leggy, more stylish secretary.
Two years later the new wife took him to the cleaners.
He had to pay her $5 million in the divorce settlement.
That was back when a new Chevy Impala with auto trans, air and a radio cost $4,000.
He had a chain of 20+ stores when he married the secretary.
When she finished with him he had to sell everything just to stay afloat.
So women aren’t the only ones who play stupid games.
The old patriarchal system worked pretty well, for the most part.
The women’s lib movement has torn the family up, which in turn has torn society apart.
I miss the old days.
Good for you. Morals are important.
But morals come from someone having demonstrated them by example. Statistically, society needs more such demonstrations. The alternative is that social mores are moved towards licentious behaviors and ultimately the evil side of human character.
Donald Trump only described what Bill Clinton actually did.

Monica should be thanking Linda every day for saving her life as well as whatever credibility Monica has left.

I vaguely remember Linda had recorded some telephone conversations and was threatened with prosecution because the recordings were without consent and as such were illegal in DC I believe but not in Virginia where she lived.
Yes; there were tapes. Linda was smart and was “Palinized” before we knew about Palin. Poor lady.
Very rare for a college Prof to be conservative these days. Even UNO was full of lefties. GA State had lefties in their MBA program.
As I said, I teach in the Ag area. Still, there are a few lefty touchy feely colleagues that I have to deal with professionally. Fortunately, there are several profs like myself in the Dept that love God, guns and the Old USA.
A lot depends on the university. Seems to be more common in the liberal arts and at very liberal institutions based on my personal experience and comments I’ve heard from others.
I wouldn’t hold Monica up as a shining example of how to behave. But I think it’s unfortunate and unfair that unlike most people who do something stupid, her mistake was made public and has hounded her all of her life. And I think it’s criminal and immoral that the 22-year-old nobody has suffered the most when it was the 49-year-old powerful celebrity who was most at fault yet completely got away with it.
Unfortunately Monica tried to use her notoriety to launch a business or two, one being a line of pocketbooks.
That kept her in the public eye.
Most of Bill’s other victims did their best to slip back into an anonymous life and lived under the radar.
I agree that Bill escaped justice for a long time.
But it does seem like his sins are catching up to him.
Look at his health and the way people are openly talking about Rapist Bill.
Bill is no longer the Darling of the democrat party.
It must be killing him that BO has replaced him as the main attraction at the dem petting zoo.
His partner in crime, HRC, was thrown under the party bus in ‘08 and is in real danger of losing the election this time to a real estate guy who has never held office.
He is now seen as a hindrance on the campaign trail. He just doesn’t have the stroke anymore and he knows it.
Bill is suffering the worst fate that an egotistical, narcissistic womanizing politician can suffer.
He has lived long enough to become irrelevant.
Bill is pure filthy hippie who raped as opposed to free love. The man lied to an Air Force ROTC LTC, plus the Clintons lie to cover the last lie. These people never speak one truth.
