24 hrs since I left fox news...How long can I go?

Posted on 10/12/2016 1:40:12 PM PDT by pacificus

So I finally did it, I cut myself off of all Foxnews. No watching their news on tv, no watching their youtube channel. Its been 24 hours, and strangely, I feel ok.

No more nasty psy-ops trying to demoralize the republicans and independents who want real change in the government. Should this thing get stolen from us, I'm going to register as an Indy. Hope it doesn't come to that.

Getting by with FR and Infowars youtube videos.

How about it folks? Anyone with me?

What other video news do we have out there?

Hang in there folks, were almost at the Finish Line!

Go Trump!

I keep on wondering why I’m smiling so much. We’re going to win regardless of how the results salt out on 8 Nov.

I quit them all cold turkey back after Megyn dropped her rosie question in that debate. Don’t miss it. I am just now tuning in here and there and finding the bias is unbelievably obvious. Very bad. I think for myself now, not influenced by those idiots.

Why do you think I asked...how long can I go? What else do we have out there?

Lots of online choices. Personally, I read everything from FR to BBC. Sometimes you get agendas, sometimes you get just the facts. It takes work to get real news now days. What a sad state of affairs. But I don't miss TV "news" at all.

For non-local news watch One America News.

That's a good one.

Proud of you! Come here for encouragement to stay the course. I cut off ALL cable news in 2006 after the midterms. It’s been great. I could no longer stomach any of it. 2008, because of the Obama win, I stopped listening to talk radio. Not that I have anything against conservative talk show hosts that are trying their best each day, but it just seemed pointless to listen to it any longer. I stay informed as much as my psyche will take. I get snippets of cable news here and other places, but I refuse to support any of the cable news networks any longer. 2006 was my breaking point...even Fox News pissed me off, and I saw them for what they were/are.

Don’t register as an “Indy.” You won’t be able to oust the incumbents in the next primary.

That depends on what state you're in.

Here in the benighted commonwealth of Massachusetts, registered Independents can vote in either party's primary.

That's why I had no qualms about leaving the Republican Party and registering as an Independent in 2015, after watching in horror as the Republicans completely turned their backs on the conservative voters who gave them solid majorities in both houses of congress.

So I finally did it, I cut myself off of all Foxnews.

Do you have an address where we can send you a crying towel?

Once you get your towel, the least you could do is direct us to the perfect television news outlet that meets all your criteria.....

The last I checked, there still is no GTN............

I just re-register as Pubbie right before the Primaries. Then move back afterword. It is easy to do online here in San Diego.

It gets easier. I watch Lou Dobbs at 7 and Hannity at 10. That’s it for me. I used to have it on all the time.

I haven't watched in awhile but probably the most annoying, left leaning, mindless automaton that FN puts on the air has to be John Scott.

He, Shep and Gerry were enough to make me walk a couple of years ago.

I decided the other day to go Indy, too. I no longer wish to be counted as one of them. Just gotta check with my state to see how it’s done.

Stopped watching FOX er.. mainly Kelly Files after first primary debate. I watch Hannity in hopes to increase his viewers to beat snarky Kelly files ratings. Will try and watch F& F's if home in the morning.

Don't get FOX Business would watch Lou Dobbs

Been Fox News free since the first Republican Debate in August of last year.

Haven’t missed it all.

Been cable free since January. Haven’t missed it all.

Like you, I get most of my news from Free Republic and Infowars. And Drudge.

I’m feeling better about the whole thing today.

The P*ssy Tape was supposed to drive Trump from the race. It failed. But it did expose all of the treasonous quislings in our midst.

Trump is sounding great. I don’t think there are other tapes. They have blown their wad. Whereas I think WikiLeaks has enough to keep drip-drip-dripping right up till Election Day.

Flood the zone. Despite media blackouts the truth will start seeping through the cracks.
