"You shut your mouth when you're talking to me." So goes the line from the classic American film "Wedding Crashers." A line that I took to heart as I watched a good chunk of Monday night's presidential debate on mute.
Why? Not because I couldn't bear to hear what the candidates said. Instead, I wanted to analyze the nonverbals (which go a long way to determining likability) without distraction. Yes, optics matter.

The most telling part was the end where Trump walks right by Lester without shaking his hand. NBC better hope Trump loses. Their broadcast license might be in jeopardy.
As soon as Cankles said “trickle down” I turned it off. I can’t stand the witch or her rhetoric.
Hillary was so annoying with that Cheshire cat grin. She was not her normal self. Was she on some medication???
” She didn’t lean on the podium”
Idiot. It’s a LECTERN.
The PODIUM is the platform you stand on. Same root as podiatrist.
Anyone who doesn’t know that is far too stupid and ignorant to opine on any debate.
How did “Candy” Holt look on mute?
Hillary looked like deer in the headlights: “ what is the FED, China currency devaluation? “ Huh?
“the classic American film “Wedding Crashers.””
Wedding Crashers a classic?
I think not.
I am pretty sure I saw Trump shake the moderator’s hand.. Maybe a bit delayed, but he did it and with a strong shake and a hearty voice.
If you watch that whole segment, Trump walks by when Hillary is talking to Holt. Then Trump walks up and shakes his hand.
Her red pantsuit... terrible optics.
Red is an angry color. It doesn’t wear well on a woman.
What was she thinking? If visual appeal matters, I want to see something flattering on a woman.
Hillary lost the debate in terms of what people saw alone.
Hillary, phony and robotic.
Trump, caring and real.
Victory Trump.
Good one.

Yes it is true that 0bama has weaponized our bureaucracy.
Trump being much smarter, hopefully will root out the enemies inside our government.
Nobel Prize in medicine to Dr. Lisa Bardack for getting Hillary through.
Next time though, fewer smiley pills.
Made me feel like this:
This seems to be the consensus of those that are honest and not too partial or too panicky.
1. Trump clobbered Hillary during the first 30 minutes.
2. Trump missed a lot of easy opportunities to smash Hillary.
3. Clinton came across VERY polished and prepared-—too prepared and robotic and typical politician like.
4. Trump came across as natural, but not well prepared.
5. Hillary probably dismissed some health concerns.
6. Trump probably dismissed some temperament concerns.
In all, it was probably a draw, IMO.
I believe she had previously said she figured Trump would wear his ‘customary’ red tie. I suspect she didn’t want to be out-powered as red is supposedly the definitive power color. She looked creepy. All I could think about was all the recent creepy clown pictures I have seen in the news of late. I also suspect Trump had read that she expected him to wear a red tie and decided on a cool blue tie instead. Blue is a more ‘trustworthy’ color. He did look under the weather, but I thought his overall demeanor was fine.
I agree. This dope is trying to convey what “reality” is and doesn’t even get the basics.
Typical dumb-downed whorespondent.
