Her red pantsuit... terrible optics.

Red is an angry color. It doesn’t wear well on a woman.

What was she thinking? If visual appeal matters, I want to see something flattering on a woman.

Hillary lost the debate in terms of what people saw alone.

I believe she had previously said she figured Trump would wear his ‘customary’ red tie. I suspect she didn’t want to be out-powered as red is supposedly the definitive power color. She looked creepy. All I could think about was all the recent creepy clown pictures I have seen in the news of late. I also suspect Trump had read that she expected him to wear a red tie and decided on a cool blue tie instead. Blue is a more ‘trustworthy’ color. He did look under the weather, but I thought his overall demeanor was fine.

"Her red pantsuit..."

Hey - that's the first thing I noticed - it was hurting my eyes.
I had sound down a bit (her screech hurts my ears, too) and was browsing NRO Tweets - so, I had fun....

She should have worn the orange jumpsuit. It would have come across as more honest.

Red does not wear well on BLONDE women with warm skin tones . It wears very well on brunettes and women with cool skin tones.

[[What was she thinking? If visual appeal matters, I want to see something flattering on a woman.]]

You can say that with just about anything she wears.
She has terrible taste in clothing.

[[Hillary lost the debate in terms of what people saw alone]]

A hope you are so right about this .

Red suit means conservative, claiming her “victory” over conservatives. By contrast, it was interesting that HE wore a blue tie...symbol of taking over “liberal” territory. Odd coincidence. Wonder if coordinated. Maybe someone saw her come out of the green room and got him the blue because she had claimed red.

I agree with you, but in political/corporate world, red is a power color. Back in the 70’s when women were entering previously male bastions, they were advised to wear power colors and imitate men’s pinstripes. They were also advised to speak in deep, authoritative tones.

Hillary telegraphed importance of color before the debate by “joking” on the “Between the Ferns” comedy segment, “I assume he’ll wear that red power tie.” Of course he did not.

She probably thought she outsmarted him on the optics, but Trump’s job was to not be a fear-inducing nuclear button pusher. Big advantage: Trump.

She’ll probably go back to angelic white for the next debate.

She was playing to the demoRATS colors. Just like most men where the color of their party when debating. Although I know a lot Asians would disagree with you. The thing is no matter what Hitlary wears or doesn’t wear isn’t at all flattering for her.
