The 90 minute debate will be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on major topics to be selected by the moderator and announced at least one week before the debate. The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic.

Someone said Fox Business coverage was better, I turn it on and some former Obama advisor is on talking to Cavuto saying Hillary won. Upsetting.
To really “get her” — even if after the debate, in a commercial — about the Muslim issue, might be to get her queen.
A friend of mine just texted me about the debate and we were discussing and I realized that I don’t remember really anything Hillary said because she rambles in her rehearsed way. Trump draws attention. You remember what he said, good or bad. I think she came across as arrogant and smug. Trump at least made the point that he wants to make America a better place and beat ISIS.

A whole lot of Trump supporters are forgetting this was Trump's first presidential debate. He erred on the side of caution, but I do believe he was taking heavy duty mental notes. He has a quick learning curve. Remember the primaries?

One huge hurdle was just not appearing to be a nutjob. I think Trump won modestly as a debate, but just being normalized is huge.
I was the one of the first, maybe the first, openly support Trump on Free Republic.
The independent voters who they gauged in real time during the debate seemed to strongly disagree with you.
They are the ones who needed convincing, and they are the ones who saw a slick, polished politician versus a real human being.
So the fact that Trump didn't seem to bring you much satisfaction or live up to your pie-in-the-sky criteria isn't particularly relevant to the undecideds and independents, who seemed to be reacting very positively to Trump at several key junctures.
For instance, when Hillary was playing the phony race card, she simply wasn't scoring points. Indeed, she was losing them.
Most undecided voters are sick and tired of slick politicians who tell everyone what they want to hear, and that was reflected int their reaction to Donald Trump.
So, quite frankly, you missed something if you think he did poorly. People are sick of "style", they want straight talk and substance.
You're just being a hysterical hand-wringer tonight, and the reactions from the voters that matter (undecideds & independents) bear that out.

He came across, to me at least, as someone who’s had enough of eight years of Amateur Hour - just like a large portion of the Country.

Obama lost, hands down. After the 2nd and 3rd debates, it wasn’t even remembered.

Of course. we all knew it was going to be totally lopsided. I do think tonight was his chance to scope her out. now he will formulate the strategery. next debate should be interesting. I don’t see her changing her methods. she is always the same.
