McDonalds Hires Foreign H-1Bs, Fires 70 American Accounting Staff
Breitbart ^ | 09/18/16 | Neil Munro

An iconic American company, McDonald’s, has quietly outsourced the jobs of 70 white-collar professionals in Ohio to foreign H-1B workers.

The H-1Bs outsourcing in the nation’s heartland showcases the growing corporate effort to use foreign H-1B workers to cut workforces of American white-collar professionals, and it comes after companies have used waves of legal and illegal migrants to slash blue-collar jobs and wages in Ohio and around the country.

Also, the 70 Ohio jobs that McDonalds outsourced to lower wage foreign graduates are not Silicon Valley technology and software jobs — they’re white-collar accounting jobs performed by graduates from mainstream business schools. That outsourcing of mainstream business jobs spotlights the growing movement of foreign workers into all corners of the nation’s white-collar professional economy.

White-collar outsourcing “is not just a Silicon Valley thing anymore, it is happening all over” the country, said Steve Camarota, head of research at the Center for Immigration Studies.

The outsourcing in Columbus, Ohio, was explained as a cost saving effort by a McDonald’s spokeswoman. “To deliver $500 million in savings, the vast majority by the end of 2017, we are restructuring many aspects of our business, including an accounting function,” said spokeswoman Terri Hickey.

Yep these Globalist corporations can fire all their American workers physically here in the U.S. for 1/3 the cost with these H-1Bs that come to the United States, physically here, to replace American jobs that can't be outsourced overseas. Another way to drive down wages..

This obnoxious sh*t just needs to end. Companies so greedy that they prefer indentured servant foreigners to Americans when it comes to handing out jobs. You’d have to think there’s more than a reasonable supply of accountants of all things in the US where you don’t need to bring in a foreigner.

i love McD’s too. Hmm.

I KNOW there were plenty of H-1B supporters here last year when I attacked it as a scheme.

Wonder if they still believe the same way.

KILLED me with the whole “that’s the way capitalism works” angle.

They don’t care. It suits them today.

I think many American companies stopped thinking about the future.

Save $1 today, lose $100 the next year.

Crazy times.

The average tenure of a CEO is only a few years. They don’t look long range, because they figure they won’t be there.

The “professional manager” class will destroy America, if it results in them making their numbers this quarter and getting their stock options.

I never understood the role of manager; if you hire someone with a real skill and genuine work ethic, there isn’t any need to hire someone to breathe down the neck of the worker. As for a CEO, if they think short term, stay short term, they don’t belong in the position of such authority.

Bad idea; Trump should not have the power to issue decisions without the approval of Congress and he should not continue the Obama setting precedent of issuing orders via executive fiat.

I’m sick of it too. Less foreigners in this country and more domestic Americans. We have more than enough unemployed and I would prefer to get my fellow citizens employed rather than worry about the foreigners who come here and also get exploited. This is no less than the old plantation system.

President Trump needs to end the H-1B program on January 21, 2017.

Not gonna happen, unfortunately. He can't executive order that away and congress wouldn't touch it.

Take a look at the website shown in the article: myvisajobs.com. You can search for available H1B jobs by company.

Microsoft 2791 H1B openings

Apple 990

Facebook 698

Google 3255

Ford 102

Oracle 545

IBM 6422

and even

Trump International Hotel 1

Clinton Crime Family Foundation 3

You’re claiming it’s corporate greed, but maybe it’s not as simple as that. Perhaps these companies are struggling to remain competitive. If that’s so—and many think that plays a major role—then what makes it so difficult to compete? American taxes and regulations.

Plus, even if a company wants to hire Americans, they compete against other companies who take advantage of illegals and H1B. Case in point is a company I hired to do some concrete work. They claimed they were the last all American company in town—that all the others were hiring illegals. Keep in mind they still needed to make a living and be competitive against these other companies. If immigration law isn’t enforced, the law abiding companies are DRIVEN from the market, my FRiend.

The problem is...government!

Business owners need to be on the ground with the workers at all times and stop hiring people to oversee the work. Owners should be there as much as possible and basically be as on track as possible. No more hiring an entire tier of managers to make choices that they are not equipped to make.
