Full title: "New video shows mob of Yale students encircling professor and angrily demanding an apology after he told them to 'just look away' if they were offended by racist Halloween costumes"
To: CorporateStepsister
Why are Yale students interested in Halloween? I have it up around 13 years of age.

Good. Let the academics die at the hands of the monsters they created.

A quarter century ago we would be laughing and telling these loser kids to go pound sand. Now this is the norm at almost every university and college in this nation. I tell twenty something year olds I run into that college is not worth it these days unless you want to join a cult!

I’ve read it, and a couple of web articles.
As far as I can tell, they didn’t wear any tasteless costumes themselves; they merely stated their opinion that Yale shouldn’t officially censor what Halloween costumes the students could or couldn’t wear.
Did I miss something? Isn’t this a straight-up free speech case where the students are completely out of control? When I read the article, I thought that the Christakis couple must have dressed up in an in-your-face manner that many found offensive... for example, wearing a burned flag... or dressed as Muslim exececutioners. That doesn’t appear to be the case.

That would be some justice.

Good little liberal college professors are suddenly victims of their own monster.

Many students in the mob of almost 100 can be seen crying and shouting in the clips, as they scream at Christakis to apologize. These emotional wrecks are going to be in a big shock after graduation when it becomes apparent to them that the real world doesn't give a rat's azz about their snowflakian PC sensitivities.

the video doesn’t show what he did that was so racist or offensive as the mob was shouting AT him. He seemed like a liberal professor so is this the chickens coming home to roast?

He’s too tolerant. What a cad.

Snowflakes were offended by some costumes, and the professors sided with free speech, at least for Halloween.
Some months back. I stopped on a Sunday talking head under-the-radar-pick news segment, and one guy mentioned the couple parting ways with the caving school.
To: miss marmelstein
Well, Halloween is one of the best party nights in the year, and college students are generally interested in anything party-related.
To: Mr. Mojo
IMHO... this is a game that they know they can turn on or off. They are oh so shocked as long as they can get mileage out of it. When they can’t, it’s back to nod, wink.
