Less than 24 hours after a Black Lives Matter sympathizers murderous rampage left 5 police officers dead and 11 more wounded, the streaming music service Pandora did something vile.
They posted a message on the front of their Facebook page: pandora message
It reads:
Our heart ache for all those who unfairly lost their lives. We stand with marginalized communities. We stand for racial justice. We stand for equity And we stand together to make this world a better place. #BlackLivesMatter #LoveAboveAll.
No mention of the lives of the officers lost the day before. No mention of their heroic sacrifice. Just the Black Lives Matter call to arms by racist agitators. They didnt have the decency to even acknowledge the murder of police officers.
Its disgusting, and Facebook had a response: Stacy Grantham HarveyIm a paying Pandora One customer. Im also the widow of a fallen peace officer. Guess Ill be calling to cancel my subscription! Highly disappointed!! Like · Reply · 7,907 · July 8 at 6:08pm
David GourleyIf you really meant love above all youd lose the Black Lives Matter rhetoric. It should be that All Lives Matter. Pandora will no longer be allowed to be played in my home. Like · Reply · 4,769 · July 8 at 5:36pm

never had it. What did I miss?
I don’t get it. The very first sentence of the statement is “Our heart ache for all those who unfairly lost their lives.”
How is that not recognizing the sacrifice of the cops?
A battle of the ass-u-me’s
Same here - glad I never paid them a dime.
Bye bye Pandora Racists!
Because being in ebonics as it is, they are assuming that it can only mean the worst people.
For goodness sake, folks. Stop jumping at the bait.
Wow what shallowness.
Not a bad music streaming service, basic account is free. You set up your “station” or even multiple stations, by choosing a song that you like. Their algorithms then choose other music to play that should suit your taste, but if not, you give it a thumbs down and that enables the station to better learn your preferences.
It takes a little while, maybe a few weeks if you’re listening daily, but once you get it honed down via thumbs up and thumbs down, Pandora can provide you with a lot of music that you enjoy from artists and bands that you would have never heard of otherwise. If you have varied tastes, set up several “stations,” an alt rock station, a classical station, a country station, etc.
I really dislike seeing commercial enterprises getting political like this. I’m not paying anything so I’m not going to drop it, but if I were paying I’d seriously consider doing so.
"Our heart ache for all those who unfairly lost their lives. We stand with marginalized communities. We stand for racial justice. We stand for equity...
Their hearts aren't aching for the cops who were killed.
Funny watching the reactions though. So many eyes are wearing the goggles of assumptions.
On their part - yes!
Yeah, they need to spill every square inch of guts or be assumed the worst. That’s the ticket.
On your part, even more so because you should know better!
Deleted the app. Pandora is dead to me.
So many knee jerks; sad.
I paid for Pandora when it was $36/yr. I dropped them when they increased 40% but did not include a larger catalog, and took annual billing feature away. Better alternatives out there - have not missed it.
I got 1 yr of premium for $14. Not going to cancel that. Excellent service, if sometimes repetitive
What’s better, I’ve eliminated others and settled on Pandora. Would love to try out better ones.
I know what Pandora is. All my GF’s have it. I just didnt have time to set it up for my own musical tastes. One of them even said “sweetie, what is this Cannibal Corpse? the lyrics are disgusting. Are you sick?”
I’ve never paid for it, I just endure the ads every ten minutes or whatever the frequency is. I listen when I’ve tired of the rotation on local radio.
Sometimes I stream good radio stations from elsewhere for the same reason, for instance WVOD from the Outer Banks. Slightly lefty at times but not obnoxiously so, and they have actual DJ’s with discretion over what they’re playing, old school, they’re a 70’s survivor and play all sorts of music, rock, alt rock, classic rock, folk, reggae. Their DJ-specific shows can be interesting if you’re into album deep cuts.
